A great historian
has observed,-
'That honesty is
the best policy, is a maxim which we firmly believe to
be generally correct, even with respect to the temporal
interest of individuals; but with respect to societies,
the rule is subject to still fewer exceptions, and that
for this reason, that the life of societies is larger
than individuals. It is possible to mention men
who have owed great worldly prosperity to breaches of
private faith: but we doubt whether it is possible to
mention a state which has, on the whole, been a gainer
by a breach of public faith.,'
[We all know politicians since we have been in Hitler's
so-called European Union who fit this bill. Many have
gained abundant riches and have left the People to
suffer the consequences of their wicked deeds of death
and destruction... and the result is clearly
demonstrated further by the actions of many
Remainer MPs
who have decided not to keep their promise to accept the
result of the Peoples referendum of June, 2016, which
they sanctioned; which is a derogation of their duty to
their constituents-a clear breach of political
accountability to those they serve.]
