SAY ‘NO’ TO EUROPE! – SAYS RODNEY ATKINSON

 

Rodney Atkinson argues that Britain must withdraw from the European Union and return to a common market of self-governing nations.

 

When Edward Heath signed the Treaty of Rome in 1972, bringing the UK into the European Common Market, his Government assured Britons that they were joining a common market of sovereign, or self-governing, nations. ‘There is no question of eroding essential national sovereignty,’ we were told.

 

In truth, Heath had signed away the right of the British People and Parliament to govern them. It wasn’t clear then- since changes were made covertly over several decades. The exceptions were occasional leaps such as the Single European Act of 1986, which passed virtually unopposed by both Parliament and the media, and the Maastricht Treaty of 1992.

 

Few people realize that throughout our 27 years of membership, the European Court of Justice has been laying down the law in Britain: the signing of treaties by the member governments (representing only 15 of the 42 countries in Europe) meant that agreement could only be reached by using vague, ambiguous wording. As a result, the European Union’s court regularly has to arbitrate- and makes new law-, which override all national jurisdictions.

 

This use of international treaty law to create the European Union is especially disgraceful because treaty law has always been used to regulate relations between sovereign nations- that is why’ Crown prerogative powers are granted by the Queen to ministers to sign such treaties without any prior parliamentary approval.  However, the European Treaties completely undermined the internal Constitution of the UK and once signed, were presented to Parliament as a fait accompli.

 

Now, many well-known figures are admitting their long- held aims. In 1990, 18 years after his Government’s original assurance that joining the European Common Market would not affect National Sovereignty, Edward Heath was asked on BBC’s Question Time. ‘The Single Currency, a United States of Europe, was all that in your mind when you took Britain in? Heath replied: ‘Of course, yes.’

 

Former French Foreign Secretary Claud Cheysson has said: We could never have constructed Europe by democratic means.’ And as long ago as 1947, a group of British parliamentarians formed a so-called’ Design for Europe Committee’; their secret intent was spelt out by the following words:

 

‘The People must be led slowly and unconsciously into the abandonment of their defences.’

 

More recently, (written some years ago) Paddy Ashdown has said: ‘I do not believe that the Nation State is anything other than a recent historical invention. I do not believe it will always remain.’

 

Today, our government no longer controls that can enter, reside in or vote in Britain. A European Community passport has replaced our passport. Our; laws are frequently overturned by European institutions. Most EU directives are rushed past our British legislators and some 30,000 regulations have been imposed by bypassing Westminster altogether.

 

 Brussels, who can even ban our exports to the rest of the world, controls our Agriculture and Fishing Industries. And our historic protections under Magna Carta and habeas corpus have been jeopardized- other European countries now have the right to have British citizens automatically arrested.

 

Perhaps the most insidious of all the EU’s attempts to extinguish the once self-governing nations of Europe is the so-called Regional principle. This device was a favorite of 1940’s Fascist Europe, whereby National Governments were bypassed and Regional Committees reported directly to [NAZI] Berlin. The European Union has gone one step further-it ignores the very borders of Nation States.

 

Consequently, the Leader of Kent County Council is now President of a Euro Region comprising Kent, Nord Pas de Calais, Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels (the Chairman will be French or Belgian); and the EU authorities are attempting something similar in Sussex to a ‘partnership’ with Seine Maritime and Somme, complete with a French project manager installed in Lewes County hall, Even the Chief Executive of the Eastern Area (Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire) now deal directly with Brussels. This bypasses not only Westminster but also the voters and councillors of more than 40 local authorities.

 

There are now scores of funding bodies in the EU for all sorts of things from urban development to academic research, whose main aim is to destroy National organisations by promoting pan-European structures and Brussels’ control. [ And its your money ?]

 

The apparently harmless town-twinning programme caused anger in Britain when the Oath of Loyalty to the EU was proposed. The Instruction Document read:

 

‘Whatever version (of the Oath) is eventually used must make clear that European unification is the prime aim of and reason of twinning.’

 

This political corruption has been accompanied by massive economic corruption: the regular annual loss of up to £6,000 million (will be greater today – 28-01-04- ) by fraud and mismanagement in the European Commission has produced no change. The nature of that corruption can be seen in the treatment of the individuals who have had the courage to expose it.

 

Bernard Connolly, former head of the Commission’s euro department and author of The Rotten Heart of Europe, was excluded from the Commission’s buildings, ordered (illegally) not to leave the country, his telephone was tapped, his wife was followed and his house broken into.

 

Britain is at the centre of the English – Speaking world, of the Commonwealth, and the world’s time zones, and lies culturally and geographically between Europe and America. This is ignored. Instead we are told that we must be ‘at the Heart of Europe’- when geographically and historically we are at its edge.

 

We are told that we need a ‘single market’ to ensure fair trade- when the secret emphasis is on the word ‘single’ as a prelude to a single currency, a single tax regime, a single government and ultimately, the abolition of the Nation States themselves.

 

‘No Country can be free without its own currency.’

 

The final step towards this end is the single European currency, which means the abolition of the pound, the bank of England and what remains of our right to National Self-Government. No country can be free without its currency.

 

When the Nazi invaded countries, they fixed their current rates and set up a European Central Bank. [Doesn’t this sound familiar today] By contrast, the first thing that countries did when freed from Soviet communism was to re-create their own currency.

 

No State which has its own currency-such as the European Union-can afford to let its provinces control their own spending and taxation-any more than Yorkshire or Sussex can make those decisions independently of Westminster. If the UK adopts the euro, British interest rates and the British economy will not just be under EU control- they will no longer exist. Yet the pound sterling, as the distinguished German banker Hans Tietmeyer has admitted, has historically far surpassed the German currency in terms of stability.

 

When we joined the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM), the result was disastrous: a total lose of some £60,000 million: an extra 1.5 million householders plunged into negative equity; and a further million who lost their homes. In preparing for the euro, the EU has had six years of low or negative economic growth and unemployment now stands at 17million (written a few years ago). The EU’s average unemployment rate is 12% more than twice that of Britain.

 

When we joined Heath’s Common Market, we were the third richest country in Europe. Today, we have slipped to 14th. Yet the countries, which remained in EFTA (the European Free Trade Association, established in 1960), and did not join the EEC, became richer. The richest countries in Europe are Norway and Switzerland; they have never been in the European Union. In return for a total budget contribution of £30,000 million, we have accumulated a manufacturing deficit of over £150,000 million since 1972.

 

A leading Eurocrat said recently that the creation of the euro represented’ the first time we have achieved such a result without arms, Democrats who fought two bitter wars to preserve the democratic self-governance of the European nations will see that there is only one solution. We must withdraw from the Constitution-destroying structures of the European Union and return to the Common market of Self-governing Nations for which the British People were voting in 1975. Such an arrangement- EFTA-still exists and comprises the richest and freest Nations in Europe.

Well! as far as many patriotic subjects are concerned we need to remain in the PAST when it concerns the protection of  our

FREEDOM and COUNTRY.

 

Change we have had and will continue to have but it must not threaten our very WAY-OF-LIFE our Common Law of England and all which makes our country the most unique parliamentary democracy in the world.

THERE CAN BE NO SURRENDER!

 

Should the Monarch fail to protect our inherited RIGHTS and Liberties then we shall have to fight for a REPUBLIC  as happened in the 17th century because the Monarch of the day ignored those very 'Rights and Liberties of Englishmen' which will still survive in the English Speaking World today in December 2007. How can the MOTHER of PARLIAMENTS give away what is already our and our children's  INHERITANCE which cannot be taken away by

PARLIAMENT or the QUEEN.

 

If the above publicity exercise is to be used to soften the impact to the population of the BETRAYAL of their CONSTITUTION and COUNTRY then it would be the greatest TREASON by a Monarch since James II who sold our COUNTRY to the FRENCH for MONEY and RELIGION.

We now learn from the Daily Mail COMMENT on Christmas Eve that the Queen's Speech will cover the catastrophic fall in Values and Moral behaviour since the beginning of her 56 -year reign. This has been brought about by the actions of HER MINISTERS and the greater number of those in HER PARLIAMENT who have placed THEIR CONCERNS before the INTERESTS of THE PEOPLE and NATION STATE.

 

 As for the fact that HER PEOPLE feel LOST that has been the direct result of the actions of HER SUCCESSIVE GOVERNMENTS and the TRAITOROUS POLITICIANS including PRIME MINISTERS who have stealthily over the 56 years of HER MAJESTY'S REIGN have almost achieved their aim of ENSLAVING the PEOPLE to a FOREIGN POWER. 

The reason for the marked drop in the number viewing THE QUEEN'S SPEECH is no doubt because the mass of people have realised years ago that the MONARCH is powerless to PROTECT their WAY-OF-LIFE and events up to now have PROVED THEM CORRECT.

There is a well know saying 'Nero fiddled while Rome burned'

Is it the case on Christmas Day 2007 while the  Monarch talks  our Rights and Liberties are being taken from us under our very  noses?

Of course the QUEEN under HER CONSTITUTIONAL ROLE can only 'Advise and Warn' HER MINISTERS but when the matter concerns the very LIFE of an INDEPENDENT STATE we expect that HER MAJESTY consider the arrangement to be AT AN END as it would make a MOCKERY of the PRIME IMPORTANCE of the MONARCH to protect our inherited Rights and Liberties which HER MINISTERS  are endeavouring TO GIVE AWAY.

We as loyal subjects of the MONARCH who is the living embodiment of OUR RIGHTS and LIBERTIES  ask at this late stage with only months to the eradication of a FREE NATION STATE some veiled comments that HER MAJESTY will PROTECT our RIGHTS and LIBERTIES.

As for the MORAL tone of the NATION STATE at this most crucial time in ENGLISH CONSTUTUTIONAL HISTORY this matter should be left to CHURCH LEADERS who's responsibility it is to CARE for their FLOCKS particularly at this FESTIVAL of CHRISTMAS.

IF HER MAJESTY'S SPEECH has not been pre-recorded  we ask HER MAJESTY to give those MILLIONS of HER subjects some hope that their PROTECTOR has NOT FORGOTTEN THEM.
