SO NOW it’s Dr John Reid’s turn to be the STOP GORDON candidate. Apparently he seriously believes he could be the next Prime Minister.

And why not?

After all, he’s had just about every other job in the Cabinet. Reid has been on TV so often over the past couple of weeks that I began to wonder if they’d cloned him. I half expected to turn on the cricket and find him open the batting for England or running out at the Cup Final in Cardiff in a Liverpool shirt.

There was an advert in the Sunday papers for the forthcoming series of concerts at the Tower of London to celebrate 30 years of the Prince’s Trust.

On July 7, the show stars Dr John and Randy Newman. I’m assuming that we’re talking Dr John the Night Tripper, the Louisiana singer/songwriter. But the way Dr John the Home Secretary has been putting himself about lately, you never know.

No one can accuse him of false modesty or hiding his light under a bushel. So it’s no wonder that reports of him planning to stand against Gordon are being given credence.

In the Westminster village they talk of little other than the succession. But what are those of us outside the insanity cordon supposed to make o it all?

FOR A START-Blair isn’t going anywhere in a hurry. The fevered speculation is just that, fevered speculation. However, given the choice between Gordon and Dr John, I suspect that most of us south of the border would reply

NEITHER OF THE ABOVE.

A poll for the BBC at the weekend reported that 52 per cent of us are unwilling to accept a

The result is unsurprising given that LABOUR lost the popular vote in ENGLAND at the last election.

It’s taken a few years, but the English are increasingly coming to resent the Scotia Nostra at Westminster.

More and more people are asking why we should be governed by MINISTERS who sit in SCOTTISH constituencies. They shouldn’t be allowed to pass laws affecting only the

ENGLISH

-when their writ doesn’t even run in their own backyard, since most powers north of the border have been devolved to the

SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT.

-and the polls show that most Scots agree with us.

There was an absurd illustration of this recently when [Dr] Reid turned up on a picket line protesting about the closure of a hospital in his Airdrie and Shotts constituency.

He couldn’t have done anything about it even when he was Health Secretary (for a couple of weeks) because HEALTH is entirely a matter for the Scottish Parliament.

The same applies on a whole raft of issues, from

Transport to Education

YET, Labour still relies on the Scottish block vote to foist tuition fees and suchlike on the English, even though none of it applies in Jolly Jacko Land.

Curious - isn’t it? - that we’ve just spent months arguing about whether or not we could have another non English England football manager, yet there’s little fuss as yet about a Scot running England.

Of course, this wouldn’t be an issue had Labour’s devolution masterplan

included the simple device of excluding Scottish and Welsh MPs from voting at Westminster on purely English affairs.

BUT IT DIDN’T

And

LABOUR

MUST REEP THE WHIRLWIND.

The plain truth is that Labour can’t govern without Scottish votes.

Few people seem to have noticed that while we were all laughing at Two Jags and analysing the sacking of Charles Clarke and the humiliation of Jaq al-STRAW, another two Scots - Des Brown and Douglas Alexander - slipped into the Cabinet under the radar.

Meanwhile, Gordon is trying to shore up Labour’s increasing untenable position by confiscating money from the South of ENGLAND and tipping it into a black hole in the NORTH.

The main reason the Tories are struggling to re-establish themselves north of the Humber is because Gordon has put half the country on the payroll.

In some areas, 60 per cent of all workers are dependent on the State for their wages. Most of the rest of the population are on benefits - a bit like SCOTLAND, actually.

What’s the difference between that and Shirley Porter flogging off council flats in Westminster to yuppies?

IT’S ALL VOTE RIGGING

In this case, Gordon is taking money from the Conservative South and using it to buy votes in Labour’s rotten boroughs in the NORTH and SCOTLAND. I doubt Dr John - his so-called ‘rival’ - disapproves.

There’s no room here to go through all Labour’s other attempts at ballot-rigging - postal voting, party lists, transferable votes.

I guess they figure that if fourth -past -the-post is good enough for the Champions League, it’s good enough for British democracy provided it produces the result they want.

When Peter Mandelson said:

-he wasn’t kidding, was he?

Coincidentally [£8.5 billion] that’s almost exactly the amount of our money he’s just given to Africa in exchange for having his photograph taken with Nelson Mandella.

SO WE CAN AFFORD to buy limos and weapons for African tyrants, and finance their wives’ shopping sprees in London, New York and Paris,

BUT

We can’t afford to put a few pennies in the pockets of our own pensioners..

WHY we need a Prime Minister who

puts England on equal terms with our fellow Islanders.

As many people are aware the Kingdom of England occupies 87 per cent of the landmass of Britain.

It is not asking a lot as Englanders that we should be permitted to have our own Parliament because we’re sure most of our countrymen and women feel the same.

Contrary to New Labour opinion England has no intention of bullying our neighbours and in fact it is the English who have been hardly treated for a number of years because of their characteristic leaning of Fair-play which has meant that we now have a situation where the destiny of the English nation is in the hands of those who have no love for our country but the betterment of their Northern home and appear willing to do anything in order to achieve their personal ambitions.

We have in the past held and still hold the view that it matters not where the birth place of the First Minister of England was, provided that individual had the closest interest and love of our great nation in their heart.

But history has shown since the passing of our great 2rd World War minister Winston Churchill over 40 years ago that successive Prime Ministers have not held the honour of England to any account and in fact in the majority of cases our country has been over that time been gradually sold to a FOREIGN POWER.

What we look for is a politician who loves England not for the personal power and influence or for riches but because it is a great country, which has on balance, done more good in the world at large since we came over the 1400 years to our island home.

For some time now the English people have been neglected and made to appear to others as a lost people in their own land and the worst type of citizen.

Of course like every country we have our weaknesses but as with others we have great strengths of which the world well knows with many countries world-wide enjoying a freedom ONLY we were able to bestow or regain.

Many of our island people left our shores in two world wars to make Europe and other parts of the world FREE with the lose of life of over 2,5000,000 of our subject-citizens and the many lives of those of our kith and kin and friends world wide.

Of course as Englishmen we would prefer a fellow countryman or women because it is asking a great deal for someone of another nationality to feel that close bond to their country but there are no doubt some individuals whose original roots are not in this country but who have contrary to many Englishmen not taken for granted the country and past of their adopted home and would not hesitate to give their disinterested assistance and if necessary their life for their new home.

As Englishmen we are hoping that one day we will have a First Minister at the head of our Government with the quality of disinterestness of love of country and not as many in the past to gain personal power -influence and wealth.

Though we would not begrudge that individual the means to show the honour and generosity of the people of our great and illustrious country to an Individual who ‘s unselfish conduct was a mirror to others to witness world wide to those who would rather look on the pinnacle of power in the State for personal corruption and nepotism and a means to enslave the people to a Foreign Power.

As we have mentioned on a number of occasions the term of service to the State should be limited so that no clique can grow which as has been shown today and in the past for its own aggrandisement and power. In this way many more subject-citizens who love their country and wish to offer their services may do so - that we feel is

REAL DEMOCRACY.

At the present time millions of subject-citizens are betrayed and have NO voice because of the current unfair ‘ First past the Post ’electoral system.

House of Commons.

If this system had been on place over the past two decades it is unlikely the

We now learn from the Daily Mail COMMENT on Christmas Eve that the Queen's Speech will cover the catastrophic fall in Values and Moral behaviour since the beginning of her 56 -year reign. This has been brought about by the actions of HER MINISTERS and the greater number of those in HER PARLIAMENT who have placed THEIR CONCERNS before the INTERESTS of THE PEOPLE and NATION STATE.

As for the fact that HER PEOPLE feel LOST that has been the direct result of the actions of HER SUCCESSIVE GOVERNMENTS and the TRAITOROUS POLITICIANS including PRIME MINISTERS who have stealthily over the 56 years of HER MAJESTY'S REIGN have almost achieved their aim of ENSLAVING the PEOPLE to a FOREIGN POWER.
The reason for the marked drop in the number viewing THE QUEEN'S SPEECH is no doubt because the mass of people have realised years ago that the MONARCH is powerless to PROTECT their WAY-OF-LIFE and events up to now have PROVED THEM CORRECT.
