AT LONG LAST!

A LABOUR PARTY  now back to it's roots - but A NATIONAL GOVERNMENT would have brought JUSTICE to bear on the PUBLIC PENSIONS SCANDAL.

It is obvious that the Labour Party are looking to an early general Election and therefore putting their own interests uppermost in mind rather than that of  all the people at this time of crisis  and of the sacrifice which must be shared equitably by all the people of the NATION AT LARGE.

There is no place in our community for an ELITE which is offered special treatment in the matter of gold-plated pensions and invariably a much greater job security than that which is experienced in the PRIVATE SECTOR.

The architects of LABOUR must be turning in their graves at the blatant injustice of the taxpayers having to suffer the extra burden in order that the public sector workers can enjoy their rich pickings under the cover of their supposed inadequate earnings outside the private sector.

What must happen is that the public sector workforce must be reduced significantly. QUANGOS alone, result in a significant drain on the already ballooning debt of the nation and unless each QUANGOS can justify its existence and numbers before an ALL PARTY COMMITTEE of the HOUSE OF COMMONS then the entity should be closed down and NO special payments given simply because they are employed by the GOVERNMENT.

EVERYONE must bear the burden. There can be NO special exceptions for ANYONE.  Only by following this JUST ACTION will there be a togetherness of purpose to see us all through the coming deep RECESSION.

As in wartime the majority of the people worked together and became more aware of what were the most important things in life. Many things were scarce but this resulted in a fitter nation and a more caring nation.  The gross materialism particularly over the past 13 years has brought an anything goes society with no respect for the once values and conventions which made our country a watchtower of FREEDOM and LIBERTY to the world beyond.

To be blunt we feel it would be to the betterment of the NATION and its PEOPLE if the ordeal we all have to share gives us time to reflect on our once good fortune and the need to experience the hardships which the recession will bring which will be nothing compared to that experienced by many living today who went through the Second World War.

Out of trial and tribulation we all be the better for our ordeal.  Our selfishness and gross materialism will we hope be greatly curbed. We shall all realise that there are many things in life which cost NOTHING and in the frantic scrummage to greater wealth and possessions our lives pass by and it is over before we have had time enjoy the fruits of a fulfilled and happy life.
