A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

[At another time of loss of faith and great unrest in our world a message from 1943 while our country and others were years into the battle to FREE EUROPE from TOTALITARIAN STATES we are in December 2013 facing the rise of HITLER'S DREAM of that year of a EUROPEAN UNION from SPAIN to the URALS. The writer of the following work had suggested that after the war there should be a EUROPEAN FEDERATION but alongside of ENGLAND and HER NEIGHBOURING NATION STATES with the COMMONWEALTH as a separate sphere of influence in the World together with the NEW WORLD-the USA and others in the world at large. With the growing realisation that since that time there has been a continuing advance of the  SECULAR as opposed to the SPIRITUAL cement of SOCIETY and its tragic consequences for our country and the rest of MANKIND.]

 

' We have seen European civilisations owed its origin neither to racial unity nor to political organisations but to the spiritual forces which united Romans and barbarians in the new society of Christendom.  but that society was not limited in principle to the particular society of peoples of which it was actually composed.  It was in principle a universal society, based on the unity and brotherhood of mankind and corresponding on the temporal plane to the new idea of humanity which transcended all divisions of race and class,

"in which there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian not Scythian, bond or free, but Christ is all and in all."

If this faith is still alive in the world today [1943-and we can ask the same question in December 2013 and again in 2014] it is no less valid as a spiritual basis of world order , as it was in the past for the making of Europe; in fact, it is only in a world order that the Christian social idea of spiritual universalism and the world vocation of Christianity have formed the background of Christian social ethics.

 [Not the ILLUMINATI /NEW WORLD ORDER /BANKSTERS which have existed for thousands of years but the present particular SATANIC ORDER which had its origins in Bavaria over 200 hundred years ago] 

  Thus Christians have a twofold responsibility and mission in the present crisis.  In the first place they are the heirs of the old European tradition and the guardian of the spiritual principle from which Europe derived its being.

There is nothing in the European past that has not been formed or conditioned by Christian influences, and even the heresiarchs and revolutionaries are not excepted since they have often been inspired by an exaggerated and one-sided devotion to some particular element in the common tradition.  And in the second place Christians have a new responsibility and mission to the new world society that Europe has created in spite of itself by its scientific achievements and its colonial and economic expansion.  This world society is still formless, a chaos in which the forces of destruction [even in 2013 and in 2014] alone seem active.  It does not possess in itself any principle of order or spiritual power which is capable of giving organic form or unity.  Any attempt to organise the world by military or economic power divorced from spiritual vision is doomed to failure, because it ignores the deepest and most vital factors in the problem and if these psychological and spiritual forces are neglected they are apt to reassert themselves in a destructive and passionate revolt such as that which destroyed the Weimer republic and the international system of the League of Nations.

It is therefore impossible to dismiss the claims of Christianity as irrelevant to the problem of international order, for the demonic powers which have entered the empty house of secular civilisations are not to be exorcised by the economist or the politician: religion is the only power that can meet the forces of destruction on equal terms and save mankind from its spiritual enemies.

The world mission of Christianity is based on its conception of a spiritual society which transcends all states and cultures and is the final gaol of humanity.  Wherever Christianity exists there survives a seed of unity, a principle of spiritual order, which cannot be destroyed by war or the conflict of economic interests or the failure of political organisation.  No doubt it will be said that the Christian Church does not in fact perform this function and that Christians are too few, too weak and too poor in intellectual and spiritual qualities to influence the course of history.  But the same might have been  said of the  Jews in the age of the prophets or of the Christians themselves under the Roman Empire.

" You see your vocation, brethren," wrote St. Paul, " that not many wise men according to the flesh, not many of the powerful, not many of the noble called." It is  of the very nature of Christianity not to depend on human means, not to trust in " the arm of the flesh," not to judge events by human or secular standards. The one thing that it demands is faith, and lack of FAITH is the only thing that can DEFEAT the DIVINE PURPOSE.

I AM a conservative, [-ditto-] I vote for conservative policies but I have for so long been let down by the Conservative Party which has been compliant as we have been drawn into ever closer union with our fellow European Union member states, treaty by treaty.  we have only once been given our say on EU membership and that was by a Labour Government in 1975. is it right that the generations unable to vote then are constrained by that ancient vote, which only referred to an economic arrangement?

For some time now, in anticipation of the next General Election delivering change to a Conservative administration, the media ( Financial Times, Spectator and Andrew Marr for example)   have been sponsoring the idea that David Cameron is a hardened Eurosceptic

BUT IS HE?

Past evidence would indicate a short period of tenure if that were so. 

WE MUST NOT FORGET

how Lady Thatcher was removed subsequent to her Bruges Speech, nor Iain Duncan Smith after his in Prague.  Discarding the previous robust party policy of repatriation of fishing rights, appointing a Europhile head of candidate selection and remaining in the federalist European People's party despite promising

does little to confirm him as

"one of us"

for I am certain that TFA Members of all parties are confirmed Eurosceptics.  Cameron says that he will definitely leave the EPP after the 2009 European Elections, finally delivering on his leadership election promise  However Miro Topolanek, the Czech prime Minister, Cameron's partner in forming his proposed post-EEP grouping in the European Parliament is "committed" to ratifying the

LISBON TREATY

hardly an ideal partner to roll back the EU. As soon as the Conservative MEPs had elected a new leader, the Europhile Timothy Kirkhope, Charles Tannock suggested on Conservative Home , that they should stay in the EPP, for reasons of status.

WHAT OF SHADOW FOREIGN SECRETARY WILLIAM HAGUE?

I recall his commitment to opposition to the Euro was limited to the life of one parliament.  With the Pound collapsing towards parity with the Euro and the current "beneficial" economic and financial crisis, demands for us to adopt the currency of the

EUROPEAN SUPERSTATE

will come again harder to oppose post ratification of the LISBON -Treaty which requires it.  We have an OPT-OUT, but nothing is forever.

Speaking at the Freedom in the City talk Professor Haseler of the Federal trust confirmed that the EUROPHILES would push for THIS and Roland Rudd , Chairman of Britain for a New Europe had an article calling for this on the Evening Standard website (15.11.08) followed by Will Hutton in the Observer (16.11.08)

A major plank of the Conservative's European manifesto will be apparent strident opposition to the LISBON TREATY and  a commitment to hold a further referendum , post a GENERAL ELECTION.

This played well until David Cameron made his "Harrow Declaration" diluting his initial commitment. Policy is now:

We will be sold the familiar, but sad old tale of unceasing efforts to renegotiate our position in the EU, so much easier from within.

[Balderdash!-Fiddle-Faddle!]

" So if the Lisbon Treaty is not yet in force at the time of the next General Election

 [No fear of that as the supposed reluctant Scot Gordon Brown signed the

TREATY OF TREASON

 and in the words of our greatest English poet

and a Conservative Government is elected we would put the Treaty to a referendum of the British people, recommending a "no" vote

 [Well! in 2013 we are told by David Cameron that he would fight to remain in a reformed EU so there was never any truth in the above statement.  The man has been proved a serial liar and traitor to his country and not to be trusted under any circumstances.]

If the British people rejected the Treaty, we would withdraw Britain's ratification of it. But if the treaty is in force we will be in a different situation. In our view, then, political integration would have gone too far and the Treaty would lack democratic legitimacy in this country and we would not let matters rest  there."

What does " we would not let matter rest there " mean?  We will be sold the familiar, but sad old tale of unceasing efforts to negotiate our position in the EU, so mush easier from within.  Nigel Farage, at the Bruges Group meeting in Birmingham, recalled a cartoon of a fish within a fishing net telling another outside

" it is much easier to negotiate from within"

If Cameron was really opposed to LISBON he would kill it dead

NOW!

by offering a referendum, come what may, without qualification.

If LISBON is no good before ratification it cannot be good after.  If, because of treaty law, a NO vote in such a referendum meant we would have to leave the EU then so be it.  We woul;d, as the Freedom Association's own campaign states, be

"BETTER OFF OUT OF THE EU"

anyway.

Where are the Conservatives crying out about yet another year of unsatisfactory

EU ACCOUNTS

[Not been passed for over 18 years]

With losses of 2p in the £1 being seemed  acceptable by the auditors with actual losses being greater such as 11p in the £1 for structural funds (6 billion Euros) one would expect a Shadow chancellor to be outraged, not pussyfooting around the margins of employment taxes.

There will be no referendum, but there will be an early opportunity for all those opposed to LISBON and everything else that is wrong with our membership of the EU clearly to highlighting this. Voting for the

on 4 June -2009

and securing yet more UKIP MEPS will send a message to the EU, the Government, and most importantly, David Cameron, that we seek change.

LEND US YOUR VOTE AND CHANGE YOUR COUNTRY-PUT COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY.  

 am certain that David Cameron would then be forced to CHANGE and PROMISE us the POLICIES the MAJORITY DEMAND.

If he does that , I envisage that all conservatives shall once again be able to vote together at a general election.

CELEBRATING a flop is a tough business, as every theatrical impresario can tell you. the audience is cool, the critics hostile, the cast demoralised and the drinks at the first-night party flow mainly to drown sorrows.

The 50-year 'celebration' of the Rome treaty has been rather like that, with the same flavour of forced cheerfulness. perhaps strangers embraced in the streets, maybe there are fireworks up and down the land. But if so I didn't notice.

The ode to gloom no doubt owes something to an opinion poll which shows that

41 per cent of people in Britain think we would be better off out of the EU, against 25 per cent who believe we are better off in

IN TERMS OF SIMPLE ECONOMICS THE CASE FOR LEAVING IS CAST IRON.

 

MUST WE?

To have an effective influence on other people's affairs you have to allow them to influence your own. Which is what has happened, with consequences which may, without undue exaggeration be deemed consistently appalling.

Try as one might, it is hard to think of anything in our own affairs which has been better decided because of

/proposals/instructions or anything else from Brussels.

GO ON, I DEFY YOU TO DO IT.

The face of innocence made an appearance we in former Foreign Secretary Lord Carrington, a key adviser when we signed up, claiming not to have realised when we signed up, claiming not to have realised that membership would allow Brussels to interfere in our affairs.

YET THE TREATY CALLED FOR 'AN EVER CLOSER UNION'.

Strange to relate, that actually meant what it said. Ever closer could only mean ever more integrated, ever more centralised and all that has led up to EU controls

- infiltrating our daily lives.

We few,- we unhappy few pointed all this out at the time and repeated it during the

[1975] Common Market Referendum

-of which it might be said that the standard of official lies was unmatched until Tony Blair took up the issue of Iraq.

In any case , membership involved, on the spot and without equivocation,

TWO MAJOR ACTS

ABANDONING CONTROL OF OUR OWN AFFAIRS

[FIRST]- We gave up our rights over British fishing waters and controls of what trawlers do.

 

[SECOND]- And we signed up to the Common Agricultural Policy [CAP] which meant yielding to whatever food policies the Community decided upon

But the claim - by both parties was maintained that

INDEPENDENCE

-WAS ASSURED.

And all sorts of mugginess believed it, especially, one might add, those in FLEET STREET

Many years down the line, we unhappy few have been proven RIGHT, and NOT JUST IN BRITAIN

-The less-than-wild-celebrations across the EU have also been dogged by

OPINION POLLS

A CLEAR MAJORITY THINKS POWERS SHOULD BE TAKEN BACK FROM BRUSSELS.

[We wish a number of British Pro-EU MEP's particularly of the so-called Conservative variety would at last think again about their confidence in changing the EU as they are so taken up with what they claim they have achieved and have given the opinion that they have all the time in the world. Not month's if the June 2007 -ratification of the Declaration of Berlin takes place in our House of Commons though it would be a harder to pass through the House of Lords.]

AS FOR THE EURO

As for the euro, seen by so many EU enthusiasts as the great triumph, a majority within the member nations, if only a narrow one, would like to 

GO BACK TO THEIR OWN CURRENCIES

OF THE 14 NON-MEMBERS, MAJORITIES IN 11 NATIONS ARE OPPOSED TO JOINING.

The intellectual case against the euro remains as strong as ever. It cannot make sense for the European Central Bank to set the same rate of interest for countries with inflation as for those facing recession.

LET US BE FAIR TO CHANCELLOR GORDON BROWN

-who kept us out of the euro when Tony Blair was so desperate to get us in. That enormous Treasury study which Brown commissioned laid out all the pluses and minuses of MEMBERSHIP.

But there is good reason to believe he had made up his mind

In 1941 Walter Funk, Hitler's economics Minister, launched Europaische Wirtschafts Gemaeinschaft

-to establish a Single European Currency - the Reichsmark. Plus the integration of all European economy into a

"Single Market"

Also the transEuropean Network (TERN).

The creation of a

 "Common Agricultural Policy" (CAP)

-was based on the mode of European agriculture, protected by subsidies and high tariffs, keeping prices artificially high for the benefit, principally, of French and German small farmers.  This Franco-German benefit was later enshrined. post war, under Article 39 of the

TREATY of ROME.

Similar to the later

Maastricht Treaty

of

GEU-GERMAN EUROPEAN UNION

-with a Pan European Bank (Bank Europa) created and run by Germany.

This, then, was the embryo Nazi plan for the future of greater Europe, all combined under the sole command of the MASTER, 'Aryan' superior German Super State - cum dictatorship.

Yet, after the most decisive defeat in all their history, we find, still in existence in primary positions, a considerable number of perpetrators of these evil plans - after ruthlessly murdering millions who appeared to be obstacles to their GREATER GLORY?

The very name Concentration Camps brings the vision of the devil who possesses their souls.

[As is generally known the Americans immediately after WWII brought over 700 key Nazi scientists and other professions back to the U.S. and softened their de-Nazificatiion programme whereas in the British sector that programme was pursued.]

 

What reason could they [Germans] have had -a mistrust of their own people? Whilst the Allies were planning to preserve the

PEACE of the WORLD

-the Germans were already contriving to win the

BATTLE OF THE PEACE.

-they never desist in their aggressive attempt to dominate

FIRST:      EUROPE

-and then   THE WORLD

Incredibly, Ernest Bevin, British Minister, convinced by the astute Germans, as were the American Statesmen, that Communism was the greatest post-war threat in Germany, transferred all British Intelligence operations (still concentrating on anti-Nazi measures), to hunt the few remaining , weak Communist cells from 1997 onwards.

Ex-Nazis were still many. Communists there were practically none.

So Bevin, fooled by the Germans, transferred everybody to search for Communists in 1947 and , unbelievably, told the Germans to denazify themselves. He should have heard the Germans laugh at 'British stupidity'!

Dr Konrad Adenauer, known as 'the old fox' for his total deceit of America, thus producing large quanties of dollars, enjoyed his ability to deceive the Americans.  Far from chasing Communists, he was on friendly terms with Russia. General Karl Haushofer (from Ribbentrop's treasury), was convinced that Germany and Russia could combine to

  He joined Adenauer in persuading the U.S. State Department of the imminent Russian communist threat to West Germany (They were in control of East German Zone), laughing as the dollars rolled in-

Chancellor Adenauer said:

"The British are our true enemies" and signed a contract with General de Gaulle.

Madrid was the Nazi International Geopolitical Control Centre. Die Spinne was the Nazi organisation in Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Sweden, Argentina, Buenos Aires etc.  All now followed General Haushofer's Plan.

- all promoting resurgence of a German Europe.

In 1945 the German masterplan (captured by the Allies) included a European Peace order (like Adenauer's), a European Union on a Federal basis, a Commonwealth between Germany , Bohemia and Moravia, and an

ECONOMIC INTEGRATION OF EUROPE.

In February 1945 Churchill and Roosevelt signed a document:

 

"It is our inflexible purpose to destroy German militarism and Nazism, and to ensure GERMANY will NEVER again be able to disrupt and disturb the

PEACE OF THE WORLD.

 We are determined to disarm and disband all German Armed Forces and break up the German General Staff that has contributed repeatedly to the resurgence of German

MILITARISM,"

 

[Well today in 2007 the German Army has over 300,000 troops and has massive stocks of nuclear bombs on its territory. It's strength has been growing since 1945 and has its advocates in every country in the world working  for a German domination in the economic and industrial and military fields.]

Littledid they know of the plans well-in -hand BEFORE WAR-END, of German resuscitation. Krupp and Thyssen, the uncrowned

Kings of Essen

-were quickly and secretly rebuilt, with arranged co-operation abroad. Other industries had  planned peacefully with Nazi leaders (who went underground well before War end), to set aside secure means of speedy reconstitution for aggressive

Domination of Europe

-now by political and economic means.

In the meantime, General Marshall's European Recovery Plan 1947, born of America's foremost fear of Communism, (always growing best in a bed of poverty, want and misery), and also impoverished Europe's effect on her industrial relations, brought closer economic co-operation between European countries, especially to the immediate benefit of Germany.

 

 

The 16 participating countries set up OEEC (Organisation for European Economic Co-operation), to administer the PLAN successfully.  It was a minor miracle of rehabilitation, a gesture of great American generosity to suffering Europe and especially to everyone's FOE: Germany -the

ONLY ONE WITHOUT CONSCIENCE-OR REAL GRATITUDE.

Germany always anticipates manipulating Fortune.

Black Market ceased overnight, as we introduced the new German Mark to restore Germany's Currency. Everybody receiving basic amounts, to start them on their new currency Deutsch Mark, of real value. No more barter of cigarettes and coffee [Well it was still alive in the late 40s and early 50s we were there in the British Zone of Austria expecting a possible attack from the East.]  Remarkable speedy return of restored vigour to German Industry. I watched rows of EMPTY shops, suddenly FULL of merchandise OVERNIGHT: German deception a classic -a modern miracle. Strange that the MARK they loved all these years was given new life by US.

[Against this backdrop there was not this help to our own industries at home. Just a patch-up job. Much of industry still survived with old equipment whereas the Enemy were able to install new plant with the latest scientific knowledge which enabled them to recover earlier AT OUR EXPENCE.]

NATO was created between America and European nations [which gave peace to Europe since-so don't believe the EU pundits who say otherwise] because of the Cold War aftermath with Russia, feared by everybody (except Germany, who was kept out). In 1946 the European Union of Federalists brought together groups in European countries of Britain, Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

The cause of European unity included powerful names like Leon Blum of France, Alcide de Gasperi , PM of Italy and Belgium socialist Paul-Henri Spaak with his United Europr Movement of 1948, to which Winston Churchill gave support saying:

 

"We are with Europe, but not of it

We are linked, but not compromised.

We are interested and associated but NOT absorbed."

Churchill never changed his position assisting, but NOT joining as a member.

His great, far-seeing wisdom should always have remained our guide, with his firm, never deviating policy for Britain:

 

"For we dwell among our own people."

 

Spaak's project of 1948 failed by 1950. Churchill was so wise (unlike most of his more easily hooked successors from Macmillan/Heath onwards), not to be caught up in the eternal problems (especially accounts and budgets) and machinations of European Union states, led by Franco-Germany, using Britain as a major pawn.

The prime mover at the time was Jean Monnet, who became unwisely known as Mr Europe.  An Alsace cognac producer, he gained his part-education travelling the world's international markets. he believed strongly in the total unity of European states, adopting the Loucheur-Mayrich earliest functionalist model of 1925, - followed by the 1926 International Steel Agreement, an earlier model(forerunner of the ECSC) set up after WWI. They seem to have  cast the original mould, from which eventually developed the EU, but not in their conception. Nor that of Monnet, who forgot the German behaviour in Alsace in WWI, saying in 1943:

"There will be no peace in Europe if the States are reconstructed on the basis of national sovereignty. Co-ordination does not create unity."

 

HE WAS NOT ONLY TOTALLY WRONG-BUT BLINDLY STUBBORN.

However, at the time, fullscale European integration was politically unacceptable (and still had our mighty protector  Winston Churchill). So Monnet revived the 1920's scheme of control of German coal and steel -making, under an independent 'High Authority' to prevent German future hostile intentions

 - ALWAYS THERE.

Monnet chose fellow-Alsatian, Robert Schuman, French Foreign Minister to administer his plan.

The Schuman Plan of 1950 for the 'European Coal and Steel Community' was eventually agreed between Germany and France, especially as these German Ruhr coal and steel areas were under French occupation.  The 3 benelux countries and Italy joined the PLAN.  But the British Prime Minister, labour's Clement Attlee, rejected it point blank, saying:

 

" It was impossible for Britain to accept the principle, that the most economic forces of this country should be handed over to an authority that is utterly undemocratic and is responsible to nobody."

...wise words from a labour Prime Minister which, with Winston Churchill's clear statement, should have guided our Statesmen EVER AFTER.

 

[WHY then is the New Labour Government of 2007 doing just that in a European Federal State calling itself the

 

United States of Europe.

A WARNING FROM 1998 OF THE THREAT TO THE INHERITED

'FREEDOMS AND LIBERTIES'

Now, Mr Hague, just say 'NEVER'

[A REMINDER!]

 On 5 January,1998, just as the working new year was beginning, Lord Howe of Aberavon, Edward Heath, [Bilderberger and Nazi Spy for over 60 years until his death in 2005 before which he admitted he had lied about there being no loss of SOVEREIGNTY.],Michael Heseltine. Kenneth Clark [Bilderberger] and eight other senior Conservative Euro-federalists published a letter in The Independent.   This letter declared their support for what they commended as the Prime Minister's positive approach to Euro-negotiations expressed their enthusiastic support for joining the common Euro-currency and promised that they would all be active campaigners for a

'YES' vote in the eventual referendum

The letter was of course seen as an embarrassing challenge to the leader of the Conservative Party, of which those letter writers apparently intend to continue their membership.  A challenge it certainly is.  But it ought to be seen, and taken, as an opportunity to change the policy which those letter writers have now so strongly and so publicly challenged.

Misguided policy

   That policy, as stated by the leader, was to say 'no' only to joining the common Eurocurrency during either the present parliament or the next; leaving open the possibility of our joining after that.  But this temporizing policy was, we must hope, adopted only to regain the support of the signers of that LETTER and their LIKE.  In that misguided aim IT HAS FAILED, quite dramatically.  So William Hague [Yes! you are right!- he is the FOREIGN SECRETARY in 2014] should now feel free to abandon his appeasement of the unappeasable.  INSTEAD he ought categorically, absolutely and permanently to REJECT the very idea of the UK abandoning its OWN CURRENCY.  He should on this SUPREME ISSUE complement Lady Thatcher's

'NO' 'NO' 'NO'

For the project for a common Eurocurrency is not, and should not be judged as being, a purely or even mainly ECONOMIC PROJECT.  Instead, as everyone who wants to know already knows, it is, and by its CONTINENTAL SPONSORS and CONTROLLERS is advocated as being, the MAJOR, the IRREVERSIBLE STEP, which will make inevitable the establishment of a single common government for the emerging

UNITED STATES of EUROPE.

To take this step, is therefore simultaneously to ABANDON both HOME RULE and NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE

[As we have found today in 2014 after the traitorous signing of the LISBON TREATY by Gordon Brown a few years ago.]

Anxious pretence

The reason why most Euro-federalists in the UK both DENY that THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE and PRETEND that JOINING or NOT JOINING the common EURO-currency is simply and solely a matter of the balance of economic advantage and disadvantage, is that they are not confident that they could persuade even the YOUNGER BRITISH GENERATIONS to take THE STEP of JOINING if their eyes were OPENED to WHAT and ALL that THIS STEP would ACTUALLY HOLD.  And the EURO-FEDERALISTS apparently SUFFER this ANXIETY despite ALL the efforts of TRENDY TEACHERS to ensure that their pupils lack any of the knowledge of BRITISH HISTORY.

There are relevant quotations from two GREAT PRIME MINISTERS of EARLIER CENTURIES. The first comes from a speech made by a TORY. William Pitt, the younger, on 31st May 1781. In it he said, of and to MEMBERS of the HOUSE of COMMONS, that they:

"...hold all the strings of the NATIONAL PURSE, and are ENTRUSTED with the GREAT IMPORTANT POWER, FIRST of GRANTING THE MONEY, and then of CORRECTING the EXPENDITURE.  To DELEGATE this RIGHT, then is a VIOLATION of what gives them THEIR CONSEQUENCE in the LEGISLATURE, and what, above all other PRIVILEGES, they CANNOT SURRENDER or DELEGATE without A VIOLENT BREACH of the CONSTITUTION."

The second quotation comes from a speech made at Hasting on 17th May 1891 by WILLIAM EWART GLADSTONE. (He was, of course, a classical LIBERAL, rather a modern LIBERAL or SOCIAL DEMOCRAT.) He said then:

" The FINANCE of the COUNTRY is ULTIMATELY ASSOCIATED with THE LIBERTIES of the COUNTRY.  It is a POWERFUL LEVERAGE by which ENGLISH LIBERTY has been GRADUALLY ACQUIRED... IF the HOUSE of COMMONS by ANY POSSIBILITY  LOSE the POWER of the CONTROL of the GRANTS of PUBLIC MONEY, depend upon it, YOUR VERY LIBERTY will be WORTH very LITTLE in COMPARISON, That POWERFUL LEVERAGE has been what is commonly known as THE POWER of the PURSE- the CONTROL of the HOUSE of COMMONS over EXPENDITURE.

Appalling prospect

Even those who may believe that our liberties are adequately safeguarded by the INCORPORATION of the EUROPEAN DECLARATION of HUMAN RIGHTS into UK LAW, and who are unworried by the constitutional impropriety of the successive delegations consequent upon the TREATIES of ROME, MAASTRICHT, and AMSTERDAM, ought to be appalled by the prospect of SURRENDERING ALL POWERS and PRIVILEGES of OUR NATIONAL PARLIAMENT to a EURO-FEDERAL PARLIAMENT IN which BRITISH MEPs of ALL PARTIES will ALWAYS BE A RELATIVELY TINY MAJORITY.

For our EU 'partners' already gain substantially from their exploitation of OUR FISHING GROUNDS, from our MEMBERSHIP of the COMMON AGRICULTURAL POLICY and from

 OUR [CONSIDERABE) NET CONTRIBUTION to EU FUNDS (our tribute quota).

Coalition of collaborators.

So how else can we explain the eagerness of those 'partners' to involve the UK in their EURO-CURRENCY, and consequently to SUBORDINATE the UK to the COMMON EU GOVERNMENT, except what they must very reasonably see as a NATION of SUCKERS RULED by a defacto COALITION of COLLABORATORS?

Macmillan and 1961

[The Great Conspiracy]

 

The moment when our political leaders first took their fateful decision to conceal the real purpose of the European project from the British people was not, in fact, 1970 -but ten years earlier when, in 1960, Harold McMillan's Government began discussing the dramatic reversal of national policy which was to lead to our first abortive application to join the [So-called]  Common Market.

This we can see from an illuminating book published in 1995 by Lionel Bell, The Throw That failed, based on studying the Cabinet papers which reflected those discussions in the months leading up to our application in the summer of 1961.

What was striking about the documents Bell uncovered was just how frank Macmillan and his colleagues had been in private, even at that early state , over where the Common Market was heading.

They were in little doubt it was intended to be just a first step towards eventual political and economic union

Yet this, they decided, should be kept hidden from the British people, because otherwise it would not be acceptable. The Common Market had to be presented as no more than a trading arrangement.

 

Even before the TREATY OF ROME had been signed in 1957, the Foreign Office had been briefed to the effect that its original signatories wanted:

 

" to achieve tighter European integration through the creation of European institutions with supranational powers, beginning in the economic field...the underlying motive of the Six is , however, essentially political". (PRO/FO 371/150360.Bell op.cit.p.1)

 

In the summer of 1960, when British entry was first being actively discussed behind closed doors, Sir Roderick Barclay, head of the UK delegation to the European Commission in Brussels, sent a despatch to the Foreign Office stressing, in Mr Bell's words:

 

"That the aim of the Community was not merely harmonisation but the unification of policies in every field of the economic union., i.e. economic policy, social policy, commercial policy, tariff policy and fiscal policy. That this was not just pie in the sky needed to be made clear to the politicians.". (based on PRO/FO 371/150363,Bell p22)

When Edward Heath [A Nazi agent for over 60 years with his death on the 25th June 2005 attended by representatives of British intelligence and of the German secret service in the guise of German diplomats (BND officers), whom MI5 will have been particularly interested in, given the likelihood of their secret Nazi intelligence provenance beneath their diplomatic cover.

Also part of the same spy ring were the traitors Geoffrey Rippon and Roy Jenkins since their activities were discovered by the Master of Balliol College Oxford in the 1940s and details passed to British Intelligence]

 

Mr Heath,  Minister of State for Europe, visited Professor Hallstein, the President of the European Commission in November 1960, his report on the meeting noted how Hallstein had emphasised that joining the Community was not just a matter of adopting a common tariff "which was essential hallmark of any 'State' (and he regarded the EEC as a potential 'State')". It would be necessary, Hallstein insisted, for any new entrant to accept the principle that the EEC was intended to evolve into something much deeper,

 "some form of Federal State"

[Remember this was  47 years ago that the TRUTH of the intention of the EEC was known . Today in 2007 sections of the so-called FREE PRESS have indicated that the intentions of the main negotiators were unknown at the time-the above details show that it was amongst the civil servants and many politicians had known of the Treachery they attempted to hide from the General Public.]

-which was what the Commission was working towards.

Particularly revealing in this context was the reply given in December 1960 by the Lord Chancellor , Lord Kilmuir, to a request from Mr Heath for comments on what would be the constitutional implications of signing the Treaty for Britain's sovereignty.

Kilmuir responded that in several respects the loss of sovereignty would be considerable: by Parliament; by the Crown in terms of treaty-making powers; and by the courts, which to an extent would become

"subordinate"

 to the European Court of Justice

(PRO/FO 371/150369,Bell pp.36-9)

On the making of laws, Lord Kilmuir said it was clear that:

"the Council of Ministers would eventually (after the system of qualified majority voting had come into force )make regulations which would be binding on us even against our wishes... it would in theory be possible for Parliament to enact at the outset legislation which would give automatic force of law to any existing or future regulations made by the appropriate organs of the Community. For Parliament to do this would go far beyond the most extensive delegation of powers , even in wartime, that we have ever experienced and I do not think there is any likelihood of this being acceptable to the House of Commons".

[Remember this matter was being discussed in December 1960.  As you possible already are aware many of the details here are in  a number of bulletins amongst the over 1000 we have on our bulletin board but we feel the information is of such importance that it is not to be lost sight of particularly as in 2007 we are so close to losing the very sovereignty that was warned about those 47 years ago ]

As to the subordination of Britain's courts to the European Court of Justice, Lord Kilmuir wrote:

"I must emphasise that in my view the surrenders of sovereignty involved are serious ones, and I think that, as a matter of practical politics, it will not be easy to persuade Parliament or the British public  to accept them. I am sure that it would be a great mistake to underestimate the force of the objections to them. But these objections should be brought out into the open [they weren't of course] now because, if we attempt to gloss over them [they did as we know] at this stage, those who are opposed to the whole idea of joining the Community [Tony Benn ,Eric Heffer and a number of other courageous and loyal citizens such as Field Marshall Montgomery - and others in Parliament and the country at large.] will certainly seize on them with more damaging effect later on".

 

These were pretty direct warnings. And when in the summer of 1961 the Cabinet finally considered whether to apply for entry, Macmillan opened the discussion by pointing out that the first question they needed  to consider was that

"if we were to sign the treaty of Rome we should accept its political  objectives, and although we should be able to influence the political outcome we did not know what this would be."

(Bell pp.59-62)

Macmillan conceded that a decision to go in would

 "raise great presentational difficulties".

On the one hand, it would be important to convince the Six that

"we genuinely supported the objectives of the Treaty",

On the other:

" we should have to satisfy public opinion in this country that the implementation of the objectives of the Treaty would not require unacceptable social and other adjustments. The problems of public relations would be considerable."

 

Nevertheless the Cabinet ruled in favour. Mr Heath was sent to Brussels to negotiate the terms of British entry.  And when in October 10 he made his opening speech to the other member governments, he could not have been more fulsome in expressing Britain's desire

"to become full wholehearted and active  members of the European Community in its wider sense, and to go forward with you in building a new Europe." (Bell p.73)

But when , two weeks later , his fellow Cabinet Minister Duncan Sandys followed him to Brussels and made a speech emphasising that the British Government recognised how the Treaty of Rome was NOT JUST AN ECONOMIC AGREEMENT BUT ALSO HAD IMPORTANT "political content" (FO 371/158302)

Heath became alarmed that he might be letting the cat out of the bag. As Bell discovered:

" He set officials urgently to work to check what Ministers had been saying in public and a line developed of arguing that the Treaty contained no political obligations, only implications. The United Kingdom would not regard itself  as committed to any particular development or extensions of obligations simply by virtue of EEC membership". (based on M.Camps, Britain and the European Community 1955-63, cited in Bell p.74) 

This was to remain the line until , in January 1963, President de Gaulle vetoed Macmillan's attempt to join. Although the Cabinet was well aware that the Common Market was ultimately a political project, involving considerable surrender of sovereignty, and was likely to develop much further in these respects in the future. This was NOT what the British people WERE TO BE TOLD.

All this was to be downplayed in favour of the pretence that the Common Market was little more than its name implied:

A trading arrangement which would be good for Britain's economy. It was a line which was still to be official orthodoxy four decades later.

 

THE CULTURE OF DECEIT HAD BEEN SOWN.

There are two covert truths at the heart of the Conservative Party's attitude towards the European Union and both inspire utter terror. As few politicians are renowned for their steely courage, that is why they remain covert

One is that it used to be the case that there existed two quite clear, distinct and separate destinations to the European journey. One was a totally integrated United States of Europe, the heritage of Monnet -Hallstrom and Delors, entailing an absolutely unavoidable (indeed desired) termination of the NATION-STATE.

The other was the Europe of [Free] Nations, deriving from de Gaulle's Union des Patries.

For thirty-five years the Tory Party has espoused the latter, loudly proclaiming that it would never entertain the former.

IT STILL DOES

The terrifying truth is that the other option [of Free nation-states] is DEAD, DEFEATED, off the menu and has been for at least a DECADE.  Despite the DEFEAT (for a while) of the Giscardian Constitution, the United States of Europe has wiped the floor with its rival and WON HANDS DOWN.

[A book by an MEP espousing the importance of the above defeated option shows that they are so convinced by their own propaganda that some kind soul should gently approach the MEP for the West Midlands Philip Bushill-Mathews and let him know the TRUTH because his latest publication 'Who Rules Britannia'  he is so dedicated to his mission that he is selling a product that the Trading Standards Department would agree is out of date and misleading to his viewers. Possibly he might consider a reprint to put the record straight as he appears a straight kind of guy?]

Turning the Ship

Despite this the Tory leadership, since Major's first hours of incumbency, has bleated on about turning the ship around, being in the driving seat, being at the Heart of Europe, converting everyone to the British point of view and 'reforming' the EU to bring it back to the British wish.

TRUTH ONE:  This is a pipe dream and everyone knows it.

The Euro-fanatics in the party do nor gloat because they recognise that in a few years their supremacy will have become irreversible; that successive leaderships dare not admit their complete defeat because daring takes moral courage which the Tories have NOT HAD since 1990.

So the charade is pursued year after year. Posture, declaim, beat the drum, shout the platitudes, strike Conference poses, and then [as always] capitulate again.

 

TRUTH TWO:  Goes back to the

1992 Maastricht Treaty

-After John Major used the methodology of the Kray twins to force the ratification of the birth-treaty of the United States of Europe through a rebellious party, the canard was put about that the sceptics were a danger to the unity of the party and thus to re-election.  The media seldom the sharpest knives in the drawer, have propagated this amiable fiction.

IN TRUTH THE REVERSE IS THE CASE.

 

Same Coterie

The Conservatives' euro-fanatics are the same coterie that connived, plotted and executed the political assassination of Margaret Thatcher -not the Poll Tax (another cosy canard) but for

And in pursuit of their Utopian vision they are quite prepared to tear the party apart and guarantee that a euro-sceptic Tory Party does NOT TAKE POWER -IF NEED BE.

Thus  five consecutive party leaders have been told quietly but in terms they understand, that it would be suicidal to affront the Euro--fanatic minority.

David Cameron fits perfectly into the succession. He has grouped half a dozen EU-fanatics around him, he despises euro-sceptism, wishes the whole thing would go away and will do all he can to avoid it.  The point of this article is to claim that he has one huge Achilles heel and that if the patriotic majority wants to win this time (and it may be the last) they simply have to renounce more verbal protests and meet iron with steel.

FIRST a few harsh realities. words

 

Only an incumbent British Government can repeal the Act of Accession to the Treaty of Rome.

No British government under any circumstances is going to do that. That is a given pledge. Only one party, the United Kingdom Independence Party would pledge it, and UKIP is not going to be the next British Government , and we all know that.

The Better Off Out movement? Nice Idea -but NO! I support it of course, but it is not going to change David Cameron's mind.

By issuing the 'NO CAREER UNDER ME' he has curbed the converts to a maximum of fifty. And he does not need to give a damn about them. he needs to keep every one of his 197 and win another 123 back from Labour and the LibDems.

Inside the figure of 330 he can easily absorb fifty or a hundred rebels. If they had to swear to believe in the tooth fairy to win, so be it. So long as they win and put him in Downing Street. After that , the whips take over and he can go on beaming his way around Brussels. Fifty among three hundred is quite manageable.

National referendum

WHAT THEN? Three things.

FIRST:     the key is not cold-turkey extraction but a second NATIONAL REFERENDUM.

David Cameron will hate it and fight it. But if he is forced to give an irreversible manifesto pledge to hold one, he would be in desperate trouble if he tried, after entering Downing Street, to renege.

Second, not a referendum on in/out but on Repatriation of Powers. WHY? Because the first, with enough bribery and mendacity could even be lost. BUT  millions and millions of our fellow Brits see repatriation of the right to control our borders and courts as perfectly reasonable. This must be a referendum won by such a majority that it could not be rigged or repudiated. And the third thing. It is a phenomenon that is changing our lives.

The message will be simple. If you believe in this country, stand up and be counted. Sign a pledge, by mail or on line. Say that you will simply not vote for any party that takes a million Tory votes.

Suppose two million more are added to that  -even as pledged abstainers. And suppose all three million came back to the Conservatives on the pledge.....Do the maths.

Given the choice of bowing to the EU-fanatics with a guarantee of staying in OPPOSITION, or giving the people what they want and presumably going to Downing Street, which would David Cameron choose?

 

The trouble with the Euro-fanatics is they are ruthless. And the trouble with me is ...so am I.

[ We find the scheme original and a possibility of working BUT there are a number of Buts to consider.

FIRST: It is more than possible that David Cameron would rather keep his job as Opposition leader than give away his friends in ALL the political parties in Westminster.

SECOND: Only if David Cameron was replaced as leader would there possibly be co-operation.

THIRD : There may never be another General Election because Gordon Brown would just sit tight until the danger is past.

FOURTH: In the end it could come down to the millions against the Treaty to take to the streets in a Civil War.

In the 1215  Magna Carta the keystone of English Liberty there is a provision for the twenty five Barons to oversee that the provisions of the Treaty are carried out and should the King renege on his promise to obey the Carta to take the necessary action as indicated in it's historic document.*

And if we shall not have corrected the transgression or, if we shall be out of the Kingdom, if our justiciar shall not have corrected it within a period of forty days, counting from the time in which it has been shown to us or our justiciar, if we are out of the kingdom; the aforesaid four barons shall refer the matter to the remainder of the twenty-five barons, and let these twenty-five barons with the whole community of the country distress and injure us in every way they can; that is to say by the seizure of our castles, lands, possessions, and in such other ways as they can until it shall have been corrected according to our judgment, saving our person and that of the queen, and those of her children; and when correction has been made, let them devote themselves to us as they did before.  And let whoever in the country wishes to take an oath that in all the above-mentioned measures he will obey the orders of the aforesaid twenty-five barons, and that he will injure us as far as he is able with them, and we give permission to swear publicly and freely to each one who wishes to swear, and we ever forbid to swear.  All those, moreover, in the country who of themselves and their own will are unwilling to take an oath to the twenty-five barons as to distressing and injuring us along with them, we will compel to take the oath by our mandate, as before said. And if any of the twenty-five barons shall have died or departed from the land or shall in any way be prevented from taking the above-mentioned action, let the remainder of the aforesaid twenty-five barons choose another in his place, according to their judgment, who shall take an oath in the same way as the others. In all those things, moreover, which are committed to those five and twenty barons to carry out, if perhaps the twenty-five are present, and some disagreement arises among them about something, or if any of them when they are summoned are not willing or able to be present, let that be considered valid and firm which the greater part of those who are present arrange or command, just  as if the whole twenty-five had agreed in this; and let the aforesaid twenty-five swear that they will observe faithfully all the things which are said above, and with all their ability cause them to be observed.  And  we will obtain nothing from any one, either by ourselves or by another by which any of these concessions and liberties shall be revoked or diminished; and if any such thing shall have been obtained, let it be invalid and void, and we will never use it by ourselves or by another.

(The majority rule.)  There is one other provision of this CHARTER which has received very little attention, although it is the one provision in the whole document with a truly modern ring. This is the clause saying that the opinion of the majority of those present of the TWENTY -FIVE shall prevail.  It is an early statement of the MAJORITY RULE. Without such a RULE modern GOVERNMENT would be IMPOSSIBLE and it is lamentable that so little is known of it's HISTORY in ENGLAND.

The latest poll in all 27 member-states reveals how remote the EU has become.

Most Europeans want to get rid of the Euro and go back to their own national currencies. A huge majority want referendums before the EU takes any new powers. Most agree that the

SOME CELEBRATION

Though Europe has achievements to its credit -for example the British -inspired SINGLE -MARKET , for all it's faults, now provides the largest  outlet for our exports -the public knows something is BADLY WRONG.

All this sets the stage for the next summit in June 2007, when Frau Merkel

She will ask the rest to peddle the claim that the

-to avoid controversy -is so insignificant it doesn't warrant a

Thus the EU  attempts to become even more dictatorial.

Would it surprise anybody if Mr Blair obsessed with his legacy, signs away what is left of

OUR SOVEREIGNTY

-at his last SUMMIT?

The tragedy is that Europe's politicians could have seized the opportunity of

EU EXPANSION

-which Britain did so much to bring about -to loosen the stranglehold of Brussels and promote vibrant democracy.

[It is obvious that the founders of the EEC/EU have NEVER had any intention to let any scheme interfere with its own unchangeable plan and for Britain to think it could make any real change that defied history and its reality. Denazification after WWII was stopped first by the Americans and shortly after by the British when they were conned by the first  postwar German Chancellor Adenauer to believe that the threat came at that time from Russia.
