A WARNING TO UKIP SUPPORTERS NOT TO SWITCH TO EUROSCEPTIC
TORIES
The respected Eurofacts journal a
fortnightly publication which has been fighting for over ten years as we have
ourselves has made the suggestion that in any coming General Election those euroeceptic
voters in constituencies with a Conservative standing for withdrawal from
Europe should vote for that party instead of UKIP.
DON’T
HAVE ANY OF IT.
The case for the Eurofacts view follows:
Eurofacts

Vol 11 No 15
MP’s
throw their weight behind Better Off Out Campaign.
Members
of the 2005 intake of MPs are among those who have given their support to a new
campaign for Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union.
Until
a few weeks ago only one member of the House of Commons -Philip Davies,
the member for Shipley -was publicly committed to seeking Britain’s
withdrawal from the European Union.
Shared
Objectives
On the 26th April, however, nine Conservative
MP’s attended the launch of the
Freedom
Association’s
Better
Off Out [of Europe]
Campaign.
According to the TFA [The Freedom Association],
eight of these declared their support for the campaign’s objective of
withdrawal from the EU.
Of those attending -Douglas Carswell, the member for
Harrogate, Philip Hollobone (Kettering), David Davies (Monmouth, and Philip
Davies himself -entered the House at the last General Election and have
sacrificed whatever prospects for advancement they might have possessed as a
result of their involvement.
Also attending were Eric Forth, Christopher Chope, Bob
Spink, Sir Nicholas Winterton, and Lady Winterton.
The disparity between anti-EU sentiment as reflected in
the House of Commons and that in the country is, of course still vast: eight
or nine out of 659 scarcely reflects the rising tide of euro-sceptism.
[Well! We just have to say as we have so often during the
last few years
PR-Proportional
Representation
The lack of it which is responsible for NO democratic
representation for the millions of voters in this country who’s views have been
ignored by the
Conservative
Labour
LibDem
Parties.
In the letter section of the same publication of Eurofacts
one of their correspondents has aptly put our point of view - under the heading
Untrustworthy
Tories
Dear Sir,
Following David Cameron’s
statement that no Eurosceptic MP would serve on his front bench I believe those
who have been advocating a vote [Frederick Forsyth] for the Conservative
party as a means of saving us from the EU owe us all an apology.
As has proved the case time
and again the Conservatives are NOT TO BE TRUSTED on the matter and if future
generations wish to find the main culprits for betraying this nation to the
FEDERALISTS the need look no further than those who have run that party in the
past fifty years.

[We hear from Frederick Forsyth that destroying
first class patriots [Conservative euro-sceptic MPs] must leave Kenneth Clarke
roaring with laughter. Well if the
voters fall into the trap of thinking that a vote for a euro-sceptic Conservative
will advance the cause of withdrawal from the EU then Mr Nice-Guy Dave will be
having a louder but silent laugh at his success in reducing the UKIP vote
without giving anything away and simply having toleration of the euro-sceptics
within his party where he will see that they cause no trouble.
Mr Forsyth says that without UKIP 58 of the 60
Tory seats would have reduced Blair’s majority to 13 and would probably toppled
him. But what would have happened to
advance the cause of withdrawal from the EU within the Conservative party-
NOTHING
ONLY when there is a clear Conservative policy of
withdrawal from the EU would we consider it worthy of support.
It
should be bourn in mind that it is ONLY the growing strength of UKIP, which
will finally get the main parties to reconsider their stance on the EU.
We need to remind Mr Forsyth that the UKIP presence in
the EU Parliament has seen many disclosures of the massive corruption and the
dilatory way the voting system works which would explain the unending flood of
Regulations and Directives heading our way -the last count was a least a
billion.
Finally
Mr Forsyth needs to understand that time is not on our side and that whatever
the number of MPs converted to the Euro-sceptic lobby it is their leadership
which must be toppled first.]
To continue:
But taken in conjunction with the creation of a new
euro-sceptic group in the Lords (see page 5) the launch of
‘BETTER
OFF OUT’
-is a significant development and perhaps a historic one.
[Over the past decade there has been a steady flow of
euro-sceptic organisations all proudly proclaiming their agenda which will not
list for the present but we wonder WHY there is no stickability because those
on the other side of the line know what they want and it must be confusing to
say the least to see yet again another launch of the same product but under
another heading.
Could
it be a matter of personalities instead of focusing on the vital matter in
hand, which is making the battle much harder to win than it might have been?
We
leave the answer to future historians to discover.]
To
continue:
The
Conservative leader has responded to the development by making it clear
that those involved cannot expect advances in their careers, but he has stopped
short of threatening to deselect them in accordance with assurances he gave
during the party leadership campaign.
Were
he to change his mind he would risk a civil war within the party ranks and the loss
of some key financial supporters.
Significant
Step
Mr Davies told eurofacts: “ The important thing is that we have put down a marker. [We
thought they did that before Maastricht?] The issue of membership is no
longer an issue that is widely spoken of outside Parliament but can’t be talked
about inside Parliament.
That’s a significant step forward. We know of others
who are sympathetic in our aims [Haven’t we heard this so many times
over the past 35 years -we remember John Redwood and many others of his clan in
their countryside vigil telling us to be patient for just a few more years so
many years ago] not just in the Conservative Party, and we hope that in
time they may join us.” [By the tone of this plea you would think that
the issue has never been around for over the last three decades.]
Mark Wallace, the Freedom Association’s Campaign
Manager commented:
“ We are confident that when MPs discover that nothing
has happened to those who lent their support and remain free to speak their
minds the number supporting the campaign will grow. We hope that MPs will pass
on information about the EU as well as data about the rising level of support
for withdrawal.”
[We read the above with disbelief at the naivety
of the comments as if the matter in hand was other than the
INDEPENDENCE
of a NATION STATE of 1400 years in the making with its accompanying
CROWN-LORDS
-COMMONS-JUDICIARY
AND
RIGHTS
& LIBERTIES.
The Party Leaders will be delighted with the message
because they know that so long as they allow their euro-sceptic’s to voice
their views they will proceed as quickly as possible with some cosmetic changes
in the EU to blind them that they are making progress whereas in reality they
are being taken for a ride.]
Unambiguous
Commitment
Although the launch of
‘BETTER
OFF OUT’
Is intended as a
non-party group its launch was attended only by the Conservative MPs.
Roger Knapman, leader of UKIP, warmly welcomed the
development. He should perhaps have gone further by making it clear that UKIP
will not field candidates in constituencies where incumbent candidates have
taken the pledge to support withdrawal.
[WE
DISAGREE WITH THE ABOVE COMMENTS AND KNOW THAT GREAT DAMAGE TO UKIP WILL RESULT
OF SUCH A POLICY.
The
sole fact that the UK Independence Party is what its name implies is sufficient
for those who want
OUT
OF THE EU
-rather than dissipate the numbers by voting for
Parties who have a Policy of closer Union with the EU.
We have to ask who is funding this FRONT which is
whatever it says wishes to impede the progress of UKIP with false promises
which we have all heard before.
As an observer of the political scene for over ten
years we ask those tempted to support those possibly supposed euro-sceptic MPs
from other parties to instead keep with the Party, which has a MANDATE to leave
the EU
THE
UK
INDEPENDENCE PARTY.
What
you see -is what you get!
No
ifs! or buts!
To continue:
In the past we [eurofacts] have argued that
UKIP should refrain from fielding candidates in the relatively small number of
instances where an incumbent Tory or Labour MP had proved their eurosceptic
credentials; but since in all cases those credentials did not include an
unambiguous commitment to back British withdrawal we also acknowledged the
strength of the counter argument.
Times have changed: whatever their party allegiance there
can be no credible reason for UKIP to compete against Mr Davies and other MPs
who join his banner.
[WE DISAGREE WITH THIS VIEW
It is too late in the day for this sudden conversion of
MPs of other parties to expect that they should be rewarded with a clear run in
a General Election when the party to which the candidate belongs has no policy
of withdrawal OUT OF THE EU.
It is ONLY the growing strength of
UKIP
which will eventually force a party to change its Pro-EU
policy. To think that at this stage of the game to use that phrase that the
other parties will keel over on their EU policy because they have a fold of compliant
euro-sceptics within is plainly fatuous.
Mr Frederick Forsyth has thoughtfully provided some
practical suggestions how readers can back Mr Davies and the TFA campaign which
we will not list as it is now water under the bridge -time has past and the
ONLY effective way to persuade the main parties is for EVERY euro-sceptic
voter to vote
UKIP
It
is obvious the Conservatives particularly are nervous about the opposition to
their Pro-EU policy and they hope to minimise the threat at the next General
Election by claiming to be tolerant of euro-sceptic MPs.
Our
message is for those voters in constituencies where the Labour or Conservative incumbent
MP are euroscepic is DON’T
‘Submit yourself’
Instead
‘Be
truly converted’
and
VOTE
UKIP
THE
ONLY PARTY WITH A MANDATE TO LEAVE THE EU

Only

[No
doubt the figures will widen when those who at present hold their pro-EU views
begin to see through the maze of lies and deceit and corruption and
unaccountability of over 40 years]

(Eurofacts-Vol
11-No15)
Only 33 per cent of the British public believe
that the UK’s membership of the EU is a good thing, according to the latest EU
barometer, the EU’s own survey of opinion.
Other eurosceptic members include Latvia [The President of which arrogantly insisted
on Britain giving up its EU REBATE which Tony Blair dutifully did] where
only 29 per cent regard it as such, followed by Austria (31 per cent) and
Finland (36 per cent).
So as one can see even with the financial and commercial
inducements a number of the new member States have no love for being a part of
the
UNITED
STATES OF EUROPE.
That
is WHY? The President of the EU Commission is asking the British taxpayer to be
understanding of EU policy and that our influence will bring everyone on side.
As
a People we believe in COMPROMISE but when dealing with the monstrous-corrupt-unaccountable
and totalitarian police state we have been offered -we say in plain language -
GET-
LOST!
