War sceptic Miliband offers chance of clean
slate on Iraq
by
Julian Borger and Patrick Wintour
[THE Guardian -Friday 29th June-2007]
The appointment of David Miliband as the
youngest
FOREIGN SECRETARY
in three decades offers a chance for
Britain to turn as fresh face to the world that is less compromised by the
war in Iraq.
[Before we continue with this statement we
will make our position clear.
1) We look on the USA as our closest ally.
2) We accept that the USA has always looked
to its own interest before any other nation on earth -even though they enjoy
the fruit of its beginning of English common law and an 'Englishman's Rights and
Liberties.
3) In two world wars we have been
well and truly well- blooded in lives and treasure before we have seen our
cousins eventually come to our assistance -but their intervention was
vital-as they knew it would be decisive.
4) But even with the above observations we
still look on the USA as a Christian World Power - as our friend -for roots
are the true meaning of
FRIENDSHIP.
5) But as a true friend to be open and honest
about their relationship and rise above the occasional disagreement but
stand firm on matters of Integrity and Honesty as in
the end it is the very foundation of a nation that speaks to future
generations.
6) As the history of England and Britain
has disclosed we are the original nation state and later parliamentary
democracy of which in their own way the nations of the world
have taken for its own
7) WE have no fear of any nation
state as our long history has shown and we are a people who love
FREEDOM
-for our friends and even our enemies as
our long history has portrayed at great cost to our ourselves.
*
8) As a independent nation state of long
duration we must always be forthright in defending our own independence and the independence of other
nation states and this will only be possible out of the
UNITED STATES OF EUROPE.
9) We ask David Miliband are you too a
member of the BILDERBERGERS as Tony
Blair -David Cameron Kenneth Clarke and Paddy Ashdown and no doubt many
others in positions of trust and power today in our country - who owe their
loyalty not to the
BRITAIN
BUT
To
WORLD GOVERNMENT
10) A British Foreign Minister needs to
heed the advice of a great ENGLISH Prime Minister Lord
Palmerstone of over
159 years ago who 's grasp of FOREIGN AFFAIRS was important then and some
would say even more important at this crucial crossroads in the history of
the
ENGLISH NATION
Our neighbours in our shared island home
have either a PARLIAMENT or an ASSEMBLY
-and we have a great suspicion that the
Pro-EU David Miliband is a cosseted
Bilderberger and has only
REGIONS
on offer for
ENGLAND
WE hope he will prove us wrong but the
present signs do not look hopeful
A REFERENDUM WILL BE TAKEN WITH OR WITHOUT
THE BROWN GOVERNMENT BUT IF THE PRIME MINISTER VALUES HIS LEGACY HE SHOULD
CALL A REFERENDUM WITHOUT DELAY.
*
To continue
Responding to his appointment yesterday, Mr
Miliband calls for
"a diplomacy which is patient as well as
purposeful, which listens as well as leads."
[Well we remind Mr Miliband that in 2004 we
asked for an immediate withdrawal of our forces from Iraq. Since then as at
27th June 2007 the first day as his Prime Minister Gordon Brown took
Office
the casualty figures have reached
153 killed
-and the injured must now have reached over
5000
What alarms us is that the fate of our
armed forces is still in the hands of a bumbling man who has neither the
outward look of a man of confidence to do what is necessary to protect our
soldiers lives and portrays a countenance of a man completely out of his
depths and after the Iranian escapade he should have been put out to grass.
It is said that he is left in place because
a withdrawal from Iraq was imminent -If this is so we need a man at the helm
that the forces can have confidence in because a withdrawal is the most
dangerous of manoeuvres in war.
To continue:
The remarks gave little away but sent a
message abroad that he was prepared to cast a critical eye over a
FOREIGN POLICY
constrained by Britain's relationship with
the USA. Mr Miliband, 41 is not publicly associated with the decision to
invade Iraq and is said to have been privately sceptical about it.
*
[We are getting tired of hearing the same
Pontius Pilot attitude -it is so easy to stand aside and let evil flourish
and then later say -it had nothing to do with me.
As the great parliamentarian Edmund Burke
said:
'When bad men combine, the good must
associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a
contemptible struggle.'
*
That may be one of the reasons Gordon Brown
chose him for the job over Jack Straw, who played a leading role in
justifying the invasion in 2003. Others will see his elevation as a reward
for declining Blairite pleas, two months ago, to stand against Mr Brown for
the leadership.
For the immediate future, the foreign
secretary will not have a say over Iraq policy. A gradual British withdrawal
has been set in motion, and most critical decisions will be taken in the
White House, Downing Street and the *Ministry of Defence.[*Another
telling reason why Des Brown should have been put out to pasture urgently.]
The same largely applies to Afghanistan.
But it will be important psychologically that Mr Miliband will not be
personally associated with the Iraq invasion by his foreign counterparts. He
will travel abroad with much less baggage than Mr Straw or Margaret Beckett.
Diplomats also hope that Mr Miliband's
appointment will mean that the
FOREIGN OFFICE
-will once again take the lead role over
foreign policy and important decisions will not be confined to Mr Brown's
bunker.
Many diplomats complained that Mr Blair and
his top advisers , the chief of staff, Jonathan Powell, and Sir Nigel
Sheinwald, the foreign policy adviser dominated
FOREIGN POLICY
Most of Miliband's career to date has
focused on domestic policy, but colleagues and foreign policy experts say he
has been engaged behind the scenes in foreign policy debate, particularly
over
EUROPE
-and has cultivated close ties with foreign
policy thinkers abroad
Last night Jim Murphy was named
as MINISTER FOR EUROPE
Mr Miliband's elevation is extraordinary,
making him the youngest foreign secretary since the ill-fated David Owen.
Unlike Lord Owen, he has never worked in the Foreign Office before. He has
socialism in his blood: his father was a Marxist professor Ralph Miliband,
author of
'The State in a
Capitalist Society' He will be
present a stark contrast to his predecessor Mrs Beckett. He is energetic,
modern, intellectual, non-tribal and instinctively pro-European.
[Well for millions of eurosceptics in Britain he is decidedly
the wrong man in the job at the Foreign Office because what ever his
ambitions there is no way that the majority of people will stomach the New
European Constitution and if Mr Miliband is wise he will use his abundant
talents in rejecting the constitution and arranging a looser
connection with Europe. Because he will come a great cropper if he thinks
that his collectivist ideas will be accepted by the loyal and sane voters in
our country. As for being non-tribal that is his concern but he should be
reminded that there is a place called ENGLAND and millions of people
identify themselves as being ENGLISH Mr Miliband though of course you will
insist in being
A GOOD EUROPEAN
We're afraid that on first impressions you will be a great
threat to millions of people who believe in a Nation State and not a UNITED
STATES OF EUROPE] *
"It's a really interesting appointment,"
said Mark Leonard, the executive director of the European
Council on Foreign Relations. [Well
he would wouldn't he as he recognised another fellow
Bilderberger.]
"Its the first time since Robin Cook you have someone coming
into the post with ideas about what [BRITISH]
Foreign
Policy should look like. He 's a natural internationalist".
[Well we were looking for a British Foreign Minister who
would be concerned with maintaining the Integrity and Defence and interests
of Britain.] Mr Miliband was one of a
group of European foreign policy intellectuals who formulated the Laeken
declaration in 2001 calling for institutional reform in the EU.
[All window -dressing this is the same tall story you hear
from Pro EU MEP's of all parties who have been voicing over 35 years their
determination to change the despotic unaccountable police state
UNITED STATES OF EUROPE
We hear constantly and no doubt from Mr
Miliband shortly that the face of Europe will be changed. What a hope!-what a
naive suggestion at the very moment when the majority of people in Britain
want a REFERENDUM in order to give their answer
WE WANT OUT OF EUROPE.
* The hottest
political problem he will face will be finding a way to brush off Tory calls
for a
REFERENDUM
-on the EUROPEAN TREATY
He is likely to have the confidence and grasp of detail to
push this aside. [What arrogance to
think that Mr Miliband will have any choice but to accept the need for a
REFERENDUM. If he does not do so others will and it will prove to the
millions of voters in the country that
NO BRITISH GOVERNMENT CAN BE TRUSTED TO
KEEP ITS WORD. For millions of
people the self-government and independence of our country is more important
than anything that the Pro-EU sovietised Mr Miliband has to say.]
* Charles Grant, the
director of the Centre for European Reform, which Mr Miliband co-founded,
said: "Its an inspired choice I
imagine Brown will delegate to him the job of building a network of friends
and allies. Brown is not a natural networker."
[What we have to ask both Charles Grant and Mr Miliband can
they give us one instance of the EU giving power back to national
governments since their
Centre for European Reform
-was founded in 2001?
and we are not talking about their abandoning their attempt
to meddle with our weights and measures on fruit and vegitables.
The EU Commissioners in Brussels must be laughing their heads
off -they might even be members of this
Mission Impossible Club
because even they need some light relief from their
dictatorial duties.
What better way to deflect from the monster of Europe than to
give some hope that it may be slain some time in the future but of course we
cannot tell you when and the gravy train continues with abundant rewards for
all concerned.]
*
But in a field where personal relations matter, Mr Miliband
will need time to build an international reputation. his in-tray at King
Charles Street [Well this name will have to go for a start] is full of
issues he has little direct experience in. Most important, there is no
international consensus on Iran's nuclear aspirations, and it is clear the
US has not dismissed the military option.
*
Bombs in London
[It is 10pm on Friday night the 29th June-2007 and we
have just heard on the BBC News that there have been two car bombs
discovered by chance in London. We have already been informed that MI5 are
watching 1500 suspect terrorists involved in possible 250 different plots.
What we have to ask the Security Services is WHY after
the arrival of a new Prime Minister that our communications are still being
interrupted. We are patriots and no threat to our country at the moment
though we cannot guarantee that this will remain so if Mr Miliband decides
to ignore the millions of British people who will have their REFERENDUM with
or without his consent.
*
To continue:
[We learn] Mr Miliband could have a key role in the search
for a compromise that avoids disaster while preventing a nuclear arms race
in the Middle East [Which his late captain lit the fuse by his illegal war
in Iraq and his blundering Defence Minister 's ineptitude .]
A crisis is also brewing over Kosovo , as Russia blocks
[rightly so] plans for its qualified independence.
[Or in other words the surrender of Serbian territory to
Albanian Freedom Fighters who were encouraged by Germany]
The
Kosovo dilemma is
part of the broader problem of how to deal with Vladimir Putin's newly
assertive and powerful Russia.
Given his past , it seems likely that Mr Miliband will make
building a common European position his priority.
[Well we as with many others hoped we were getting a British
Foreign Minister and not a substitute European Foreign minister wishing to
put the world to rights before looking in his own backyard to the concerns
of millions of people HERE who wish to be free of the monstrous
collective police state in Brussels at the earliest possible moment.
His assurances that he will change the monster will be of no
avail as we have heard this fiction uttered so many times that it is now
treated with the contempt it deserves. Of course we will hear much of the
wonderful co-operation between EU members but then the Elite of these member
states have much to lose if they allow their closed shop to be destroyed
from within.
We will NEVER accept our ENSLAVEMENT in the
UNITED STATES OF EUROPE.
So Mr Miliband we await your first policy statement on the EU
but
PLEASE DO NOT MISLEAD US.
You will be wasting your time if you think that after 35
years we will accept anything but a
WITHDRAWAL FROM THE EU

THE CASE FOR A REFERENDUM
*
Letters
to the
Daily Telegraph
Wednesday 27th
June-2007
Stop the excuses
and hold an EU referendum
SIR - In April
2004, we sent a PETITION of over
1,000,000
signatures to the
Queen requesting
NO ROYAL ASSENT
to any
BILL
-authorising the
proposed
EU CONSTITUTION
-unless approved by
at least two thirds of the
ELECTORATE
in a
REFERENDUM
Three weeks later,
Tony Blair promised a referendum, on which
HE and GORDON BROWN
have since reneged
as being unnecessary.
The revamped
version of the
EU Constitution
-is virtually
identical with its predecessor, and Mr Blair's
attempts to hide this is a shameful
BETRAYAL OF THE
COUNTRY.
THEREFORE
If our elected
politicians refuse
TO HONOUR THEIR
OATHS
I propose that an
INDEPENDENT
REFERENDUM IS ARRANGED
-funded and
conducted without further ado, preceded by a
FULL HONEST
PRESENTATION OF THE FACTS.
This would at least
provide a reliable un-spun indication of public
opinion. We should also insist that there is
NO GOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH BRUSSELS.
until the outcome
of the
REFERENDUM
IS KNOWN
The British people
can then choose whether they wish to be subjugated
by
AN ALIEN POWER
OR
SET FREE!

[ Mr John Gouriet
needs no introduction as his eminent work together
with his once close colleague the late Chairman of
the Freedom Association Norris McWhirter whose life
was brought to an end by his patriotic and persistent hard work on
behalf of his country - has been on our front page
since its beginning.]
SIR - An Act of
Parliament to ratify a
NEW EU TREATY
not only alters the
external relationship between the British State and
foreign states, but also the internal constitutional
relationship between the
BRITISH STATE AND
ITS CITIZENS
The Irish Republic
has a
CODIFIED
CONSTITUTION
-which can be
amended
ONLY
BY
REFERENDUM
That is why the
Irish Government has been
COMPELLED
to hold
A REFERENDUM
ON EACH OF THE EU
TREATIES.
At one time, Labour
politicians were in favour of
REFERENDUMS
-to settle
constitutional questions-for example on whether
there should be
DEVOLVED GOVERNMENT
IN
SCOTLAND
But their
enthusiasm for letting us have a say began to wane
when voters in
NORTH EAST ENGLAND
threw out John
Prescott's proposal for an elected
REGIONAL ASSEMBLY
None the less,
every Labour MP was elected in 2005 on the
MANIFESTO PROMISE
of a
REFERENDUM
on the
NEW EU TREATY
-and they must not
allow themselves to be bullied
INTO BREAKING THEIR
WORD.

FROM
One Prime Minister in 1848 to
Gordon Brown in 2007
Over a Hundred and
Fifty Seven years ago a great patriotic Prime Minister -Foreign Secretary
-Lord Palmerstone (Henry John Temple) -beloved by his People defined the
principle of nationality as follows:
“ Providence
meant mankind to be divided into separate nations, and for this purpose
countries have been bounded by natural barriers, and races of men have been
distinguished by separate languages, habits, manners, dispositions, and
characters…” (1848)
“…We have in
the first place to say that the Business of an English Government, is to
pursue that course of Foreign Policy which on the whole they may think
right; and not to attempt the impossible task of at all times and upon all
subjects doing that which is agreeable to all Foreign Governments. A man who
in private life attempts to please everyone,
invariably fails; and the Government of a great country would not be more
successful in such an endeavour…
. It must at
times be an advantage to a foreign Prince…in the present state of the
continent to visit England and to see with his own eyes, how Liberty may be
combined with Loyalty, Freedom with public order, and how the Respect
which is shown by the Crown for the Rights of the Subject and for the
enactment of the Law produces corresponding Feelings on the Part of the
People and inspires them with similar Respect for the Rights of the Crown
and for the Laws which secure the Liberties and the Property of all , from
the highest to the lowest in the Land. ”
For a full statement of his Principles:
“I hold with
respect to alliances that England is a Power sufficiently strong,
sufficiently powerful to steer her own course, and not to tie herself as an
unnecessary appendage to the policy of any other Government. I hold that the
real policy of England-apart from questions which involve her own particular
interests, political or commercial-is to be the champions of justice and
right, pursuing that course with moderation and prudence, not becoming the
Quixote of the world, but giving the weight of her moral sanction and
support wherever she thinks that justice is, and wherever she thinks wrong
has been done…
It is a narrow
policy to suppose that this country or that is to be marked out as the
eternal ally or the perpetual enemy of England. We have no eternal enemies.
Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty
to follow.” [In 1848 Lord
Palmerstone was Foreign Secretary at the age of sixty-three. He
entered Parliament in 1807- Secretary at War in 1809; 1811-28 (most years)
War Office; 1830- 1852 Foreign Office; 1852-55 -Home Office; 1855-65.
‘ Born 1784 in Park
Street Westminster. Family home ‘Broadlands’ Hampshire. Died on the morning
of October 18, 1865. And the last candle [last of his contempories] of the
Eighteenth century was out.’
* *
[It is significant
that the word ‘England’
was not a word despised in our House of Commons during the time of this
great patriot of England and only closer to our own times has the word
Britain taken its place though we do detect a slight revival now in
existence. ]
