British voters MUST get a say on the new EU TREATY.

by

James Chapman

[Daily Mail-Deputy political Editor-Monday-June25-2007]

Gordon Brown was under growing pressure last night to hold a referendum on the

NEW EU TREATY

Calls for a vote intensified after Ireland promised to give its  people a say.

Irish Premier Bertie Ahern admitted the new treaty reproduced

90%

-of the

EU CONSTITUTION

-rejected in 2005.

major constitutional changes are traditionally put to the vote in the Republic.

Tories seized on his remarks to step up demands for a vote on the deal struck by Tony Blair as one of his last [treasonable] acts as Prime Minister.

Their warnings that huge areas of

SOVEREIGNTY

were being surrendered set the scene for the first big battle with a

 Brown Government

Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague said Ireland's announcement heightened the injustice to British voters. he said:

'It is getting clearer and clearer that this is basically the constitution by another name.

'large amounts of power have been transferred to Brussels and the Government has failed to safe guard Britain's interests.

'People in Britain will want to know, when the Irish voters will decide for themselves why Gordon brown thinks British people do not have the right to have their say.

[Well Mr Hague ,if we were you ,we would have a word first with your shadow cabinet colleague Kenneth Clarke who will no doubt put you right -with his asinine talk of flogging a dead horse. Please let us know if you have been successful in converting the arch-traitor-after all - because there are many former members of your party who have never believed in the sincerity of your party's stance to protect the Ancient Constitution of our country -as the blemished record of the party has well demonstrated over the past 35 years but particularly the passing of the 1992 Maastricht Treaty -which in reality was the

OPEN DOOR to a UNITED STATES OF EUROPE?]

To Continue:

In the 2005 election manifesto Labour promised a referendum on the planned constitution, drawn up the previous year. But the need for a poll disappeared when the French and Dutch voters defeated the idea.

Mr Brown promised yesterday to listen to debate on the new treaty - agreed by EU leaders at 5pm on Saturday 23rd June-2007-after fraught negotiations -though he said he could see no reason for a vote.

Critics said it was increasingly clear Mr Bliar had boxed in his successor by signing the agreement that would implement almost all the controversial [new] constitution.

The Chancellor stepped in during the negotiations to insist that Mr Bliar stopped France watering down the EU's commitment to

FREE TRADE

But analysts said the treaty would undermine Britain's control over its

FOREIGN POLICY

Europe will get its own

PRESIDENT

FOREIGN MINISTER

and

DIPLOMATIC SERVICE.

Both Mr Bliar and Mr Brown insisted Britain's 'red lines' were not crossed as the UK won an amendment making it clear the EU's ambitions to develop its own common foreign and security policy would not encroach on the interests of member states-[pull the other one!]

But critics said the

DECLARATION

added to the footnotes of the treaty would have

NO LEGAL FORCE

Mr Bliar also gave up Britain's veto in

MORE THAN 40 AREAS

-including:

MIGRATION

TOURISM

TRANSPORT

ENERGY

But Mr Brown congratulated him yesterday, saying his negotiating skills had done what the UK set out to do.

He insisted:

'We have met our negotiating position.'

The Chancellor also said he did not believe the public would see the need for a vote. as the deal was simply an

'amending treaty'.

-rather than a new EU Constitution'.

[WE have been fighting the

BATTLE of BRITAIN

for over 12 years and our opinion that the above statement is

NONSENSE!

BALDERDASH!

BABBLE!

We find such a statement a sophism with inconsequence and prattle in mind and fail to identify the true feeling of these thoughts with the Gordon Brown we have in mind and instead we await the judgment of a Prime Minister of Integrity and Patriotic values who as trustee would not sell out the

MOTHER OF PARLIAMENTS

 OUR ANCIENT CONSTITUTION

AND

THE PURSE STRINGS WHICH IDENTIFY A FREE SELF-GOVERNING  NATION STATE.]

*

But in Ireland, Mr Ahern said:

'Given the fact that there was strong legal advice that the draft constitution in 2004 would require a referendum in Ireland, and given the fact that these changes haven't made any dramatic change to the substance of what was agreed back in 2004, I think it is likely

THAT A REFERENDUM WILL BE HELD.

Ireland over the years has tended to err on the side of caution in relation to this because ultimately it is

THE PEOPLE WHO SHOULD DECIDE.

The Irish Government was planning a referendum in 2005 but stopped its preparations after France and the Netherlands voted

'NO'

[Have not the people of Britain  their democratic right to voice their opinion as to the new EU Constitution. The world must be looking on at this travesty of justice bearing in mind that it is the recognised birthplace of the nation state and parliamentary democracy.

How the likes of the present excuse for a foreign secretary and the Opposition Europhile spokesman can deny the justice of a referendum underlines their traitorous designs.

In the words of one of our greatest parliamentarians Edmund Burke:

'Fellowship in treason is a bad ground of confidence.'

And in the words of our greatest post William Shakespeare

'The man was noble; but with his last attempt he wiped it out; betrayed his country; and his name remains to the ensuing age abhorred.

Isn't that right Mr Blair!

*

In a few days on 27th June-2007 the majority of loyal citizens in Britain will look to the new Prime Minister Gordon Brown to protect their thousand year inheritance and only time will show if that trust was justified by events.

The Prime Minister is first and foremost the First Minister of the United Kingdom

-and only when he has discharged his trusteeship in that position  - only then can the matter of either a loose connection with Europe or a complete withdrawal be taken.]
