Christian Beliefs under attack by EU ‘s Parliament is
intellectual Nazism.
The silencing of the EU
Commissioner Rocco Buttiglione for holding personal views of his Traditional
Catholic beliefs, which are shared by 100’s of millions of Christians and
Muslims throughout the world, is nothing less than intellectual Nazism.

In the Daily Mail on Friday the 29th October
2004 an article by Stephen Glover about the controversy of the naive and
intolerant reaction by the EU Parliament to the views of a EU Commissioner
already held by millions in all four corners of the world has demonstrated the
evil beneath the so-called democracy in the European Union.

[Whatever religious views which are expressed if their
message is one of Fellowship and Family Values and peaceful co-existence then
the human race should acknowledge the beneficial aspects of those views on the
Political Scene. Obviously if any creed
is wishing to dominate others by violent means then this in itself will
proclaim its unsuitability to a place in the hearts and minds of the human
race.
Because of the ‘equality obsession’ held by many
politicians which leads to destructive and evil views being accepted as
suitable whereas others shown to be for the betterment of mankind are considered
out of place in the political world today.
Is this not the complaint of many moderate people who
accept that each individual must live their life as they choose so long as they
themselves are not expected to accept those other notions as the norm.? For the overriding principle must be that there is a Right and a Wrong
way- of- life for a great majority of the people on our planet.
When those who have the view that others should not only
accept their way –of-life but acknowledge it even if it is contrary to their
beliefs then conflict will be the only answer.
If
one believes that there is Good and Evil in the world surely it is important
that we should give a much greater effort to maintain the Good.
In a number of countries in the world their Constitution (secular
religion) protects the religious beliefs of the people. We have given an instance with the Danish
Constitution, which has a Christian ethos, as does that of England as shown
in its Common Law of England and Coronation Oath. The Muslim state of Pakistan has its own religious Constitution
as do many others countries in the Middle East.
The EU as with many countries in Europe are secular states
but because they have chosen not to give prominence to Christianity given that
its message is one of peace and goodwill and fellowship then it is left with
trying to include all doctrines Good or Evil or whatever and delete any moral
element out of politics altogether.
This
is what we believe has happened to Rocco Buttiglione the Italian politician who
has been denied the post of European Justice Commissioner in Brussels.
We
ask everyone to believe that had every member of the EU Commission in the past been
a devoted adherent to the Christian Faith or other faith with the same moral message
it would have made it impossible for such corruption to have taken place. Would they not have moved heaven and earth
to see that there was no such sacrilege on their watch?

We Rest Our Case?
To those who
hold the view that morality can exist without religion we leave the answer to
churchmen, philosopher, lawyer and statesmen to give their answer:
*
Morality, distinguished from and independent of Christian
faith is nothing; but Christian morality is of the essence; it is the true
fruit, the sure testimony, the faithful companion, the glory and perfection, yea,
the very life and soul of true Christian faith.
Let us beware, that we do not confound things so
different as worldly and Christian morality; as the works of the natural man
and those of the disciples of Christ.- Bishop Mant (1776-1848)
They that cry down moral honesty, cry down that which is a
great part of my religion, my duty toward God, and my duty to man.
What care I to see a man run after a sermon, if he cozens
and cheats as soon as he comes home.
On the other side , morality must not be without religion; for if so, it may change, as I see
convenient. Religion must govern it.
He that has not religion to govern his morality, is no
better than my mastiff dog; so long as you stroke him and please him he will
play with you as finely as may be; he is a very good moral mastiff; but if you
hurt him, he will fly in your face, and tear out your throat.-
John Seldon –(1584-1654) Eng.lawyer and statesman.
*
The morality which is divorced from
godliness, however specious and captivating to the
eye, is superficial and deceptive. The
only morality that is clear in its source, pure in its precepts, and efficacious
in its influence is the morality of the gospel.
All else is, at best, but ideology- the worship of something
of man’s creation; and wholly insufficient to give him support and strength.
Tryon Edwards- (1809-1894) Am. theol.
*
To give a man a full knowledge of true morality, I send
him to no other book than the New Testament.
John Locke (1632-1704) Eng. Philos.
*
Atheistic morality is not impossible but it will never
answer any purpose- The morality that holds great masses of sinewy people
together must be firmly rooted in an honest, downright personal faith and fear.
R.D.Hitchcock (1817-1887)
Am. clergy.
*
Some would divorce
morality from religion; but religion is the root without which morality would
die.-
C.A.Bartol (1813-1900)
*
Morality does not make a Christian. Yet no man can be a
Christian without it.
Bishop Wilson (1778- 1858)
