DISPUTE A CALCULATED SMOKESCREEN
-FOR THE SIGNING AWAY YOUR FREEDOM?
It appears on the surface a cruel and
callous statement but with what we know of this Government's record over
the past ten years we would not trust them not to put our troops in danger
deliberately to cover their own closing down of ENGLISH FREEDOM.
The Melanie Phillips article in the
Daily Mail on Wednesday March 28, 2007 gives a clue -with the obvious
ineptitude of the MoD and the captain of HMS Cornwall (this ship should
be renamed HMS Ineptitude) in not keeping a close watch on its brave
charges which they neglected to protect-particularly as it was only a
few years ago that a similar incident happened - The Admiral responsible
for the deployment of HMS Cornwall in her incorrect position should
resign immediately.)
It comes to mind that if the
mother-ship HMS Cornwall had been positioned just inside Iraqi waters it
would have been able to respond immediately to any attack by Iranian
craft to abduct the Marine' s doing their duties within Iraqi waters.
Our rightly named Foreign Office -
because New Labour has given away so much of our credibility and once
good reputation in the International sphere and is only months away from
taking us all into a corrupt-unaccountable-god-less police STATE -
a United States of Europe because that is what will happen when Tony
Blair's signing is ratified by our treasonable House of Commons -though
maybe things may not be so easy in the House of Lords.
Many of you will no doubt say that no
government would stoop to such a low level to achieve a news-story to
hold the headlines over the next few months or possible a great deal
longer. One has only to look at the Government's record since it came to
office -with an illegal war against a sovereign nation-state of no
threat to our country.
Whatever the rights or wrongs of
the Iranian action over the arrest of out Marines -one thing that
one must admire them for is that at least they protect their borders and
as for their supply of arms to Iraq -this was a friendly act to the
Iraqi people to assist them to send the foreign invader from a Islamic neighbouring state -where he had no business to be.
We agree with Melanie Phillips that
there is a growing threat from extremist Islamic fundamentalists but by Tony Blair
and George Bush invading a country with no weapons of mass-destruction
and with no record of being aligned with extremist Iraqi fundamentalists the
invasion of that state played into the hands of the insurgents which
then had an opportunity to fight their enemy at close quarters.
The same eminent reporter states that
many in Britain do not see the big picture that Iraq is merely one
theatre in a global war which threatens us and in which Iran is a major
picture.
Well apart from our comment above we
have consistently said that the only way to get everyone on side against
the THREAT from FANATICAL ISLAM is to face them with clean hands -in
giving no excuse for unfair and unnecessary interference with the
affairs of Islamic nation-states and as we have stated above the
unprovoked attack on Iraqi gave the Islamic World a golden opportunity
to use that as a justified mission to throw back in their words-the
infidel from their soil.
In order to face the growing threat
from the extreme Islamic fundamentalist the Western World needs to be
united and this can only happen if they follow a more delicate and at
the same time more robust reaction to any attempt by the Islamic World
to destroy us.
The illegal invasion of Iraq and our
presence in Afghanistan has put the Western World on the defensive and
until our forces are withdrawn from those countries there will be many
opportunities for the Islamic World to retaliate which as we all know
they have now done.
ONLY WITHDRAWAL FROM IRAQ AND
AFGHANISTAN WILL ENABLE THE CORRECT LINES TO BE DRAWN TO AVOID FURTHER
CONFLICT.
AND ONLY THEN CAN THE FULL RESOURCES
OF THE WEST BE USED IN DEFENCE OF THEIR TERRITORIES

Incompetent bosses
The Iranian hostage fiasco is
symptomatic of the incompetence that lies at the heart of the UK
The Iranians carried out a slick,
efficient and cheap operation right under the noses of our
highly-educated, expensively trained and well-paid military personnel.
The fifteen 'Young Guns' ,were under
the control of a powerful naval task force, employing state-of -the -art
radar and highly-sophisticated communications.
There were also helicopters, submarines
and planes at the disposal of the commander of the coalition task force.
So who was the genius who authorised
two lightly -armed dinghies to carry out intercept duties in an area
which has an ongoing territorial water dispute, which has previously
witnessed an identical hostage incident?
Was it the same genius who allowed
these two dinghies to bob about in this volatile area without a powerful
support team in close proximity and the availability of a rapid response
group as back up in the event of emergency?
Commodore Nick Lambert should be
court-martialled immediately. But he won't be. And this highlights the
problem of the UK today. Every aspect and institute, both public and
private, is run by incompetent bosses and managers.
No one is held to account, no one is
sorry for their failures and no one is ever punished and therefore
lessons are never learned.
One thing is certain. This hostage
taking would never have occurred if the intercepts were carried out by
the Americans or the Israelis.

Laughing Stock
IT'S HARD to accept that our
politicians are so naive as to believe that they can use the Geneva
Convention to get Iran to release our personnel. The Geneva Convention
refers strictly to Prisoners of War and we are not at war with Iran -
not yet anyway.
Iran is a country that in the past has
kidnapped the full diplomatic staff of the American Embassy and sent
insurgents to kill and maim fellow Muslims in Iraq. They even hang their
own people from cranes in the public square - so what was that
convention again.
The real blame has to rest with the
commander of the Cornwall - he left his crew unprotected and even if ,
as I suspect, he was acting on the orders of politicians, he must be
removed from his post.
His action or lack of it has rendered
the [once mighty and respected seafaring nation of the world] a laughing
stock of the world.
I don't believe that the Cornwall did
not see the Iranian gunboats approaching. It has been reported that they
were in radio contact al all times. If the Cornwall was sure of our
boat's position , it was legally entitled to attack once the Iranian
boats entered Iraqi waters.

Making a Mockery
MORE and more people 'in the know' are
now asking how the capture of the British boarding parties could have
happened.
Just what was HMS Cornwall doing at the
time of the capture? [possibly assisting the erection of a Pagan temple
in a crews cabin or being indoctrinated into the latest fads from the
politically-correct idiots in the Admiralty] There certainly seems to
have been a marked lack of determination to look after its people at the
point of contact. There was plenty that could have been done.
Why wasn't Cornwall closer to its
people?
Why wasn't the threat picked up on
radar?
Weren't the boarding parties aware of
the dangers and how to deal with them?
An aggressive commander determined to
protect his people regardless of 'rules of engagement' would have done
all in his power to prevent capture. He could have put his ship in the
way and dared the Iranians to do something about it.
Instead, the commodore shrugs his
shoulders in bewilderment as the Iranians make a mockery of the British
Government.
I fear complacency , incompetence and
lack of appropriate leadership contributed to this debacle - unless, of
course, the Navy knew they were inside Iranian waters and decided not to
intervene because of this.
the Navy, sadly, is not the force it
was and is filled more with career officers than with strong leaders.

[As we have mentioned above the
Cornwall should have been positioned just inside of Iraqi waters to
ensure that any Iranian attempts to interfere with coalition naval
forces the way would be clear to attack.
The ironic situation is that our naval
forces were only in the area to support our forces in an illegal war so
that if there is any blame to be fixed it should be on ALL those that
voted for the Iraqi War particularly the cosy cabal in
No10 Downing Street.
What Parliament should do is to
exchange Tony Blair -and the Attorney General Lord Goldsmith and the
rest of the Cabinet that voted for the war-for the 15 service personnel.
Our country would be forever grateful and the Iranians would have more
fodder for their high-rise cranes. And the world would be a more
peaceful place with their absence from it.
And another reason for welcoming their
demise is that they are clear of any charge of TREASON because in 1998
Criminal Justice Bill they inserted a *clause to make such an occasion
impossible. So the Iranian hangman will be doing what cannot be done
here and that is to execute them and others who have been guilty of
TREASON over the past 35 years with the Nazi facility payments given to
all the signatories of the EU Treaties.
