Mobilising the support of the millions who want to win back the right to control our courts and our borders is a key to a successful eurosceptic strategy.

A ruthless drive to a referendum is the only viable way left.

There are two covert truths at the heart of the Conservative Party's attitude towards the European Union and both inspire utter terror. As few politicians are renowned for their steely courage, that is why they remain covert

One is that it used to be the case that there existed two quite clear, distinct and separate destinations to the European journey. One was a totally integrated United States of Europe, the heritage of Monnet -Hallstrom and Delors, entailing an absolutely unavoidable (indeed desired) termination of the NATION-STATE.

The other was the Europe of [Free] Nations, deriving from de Gaulle's Union des Patries.

For thirty-five years the Tory Party has espoused the latter, loudly proclaiming that it would never entertain the former.

IT STILL DOES

The terrifying truth is that the other option [of Free nation-states] is DEAD, DEFEATED, off the menu and has been for at least a DECADE. Despite the DEFEAT (for a while) of the Giscardian Constitution, the United States of Europe has wiped the floor with its rival and WON HANDS DOWN.

[A book by an MEP espousing the importance of the above defeated option shows that they are so convinced by their own propaganda that some kind soul should gently approach the MEP for the West Midlands Philip Bushill-Mathews and let him know the TRUTH because his latest publication 'Who Rules Britannia' he is so dedicated to his mission that he is selling a product that the Trading Standards Department would agree is out of date and misleading to his viewers. Possibly he might consider a reprint to put the record straight as he appears a straight kind of guy?]

Turning the Ship

Despite this the Tory leadership, since Major's first hours of incumbency, has bleated on about turning the ship around, being in the driving seat, being at the Heart of Europe, converting everyone to the British point of view and 'reforming' the EU to bring it back to the British wish.

TRUTH ONE: This is a pipe dream and everyone knows it.

The Euro-fanatics in the party do nor gloat because they recognise that in a few years their supremacy will have become irreversible; that successive leaderships dare not admit their complete defeat because daring takes moral courage which the Tories have NOT HAD since 1990.

So the charade is pursued year after year. Posture, declaim, beat the drum, shout the platitudes, strike Conference poses, and then [as always] capitulate again.

TRUTH TWO: Goes back to the

1992 Maastricht Treaty

-After John Major used the methodology of the Kray twins to force the ratification of the birth-treaty of the United States of Europe through a rebellious party, the canard was put about that the sceptics were a danger to the unity of the party and thus to re-election. The media seldom the sharpest knives in the drawer, have propagated this amiable fiction.

IN TRUTH THE REVERSE IS THE CASE.

Same Coterie

The Conservatives' euro-fanatics are the same coterie that connived, plotted and executed the political assassination of Margaret Thatcher -not the Poll Tax (another cosy canard) but for

No! No! No!

And in pursuit of their Utopian vision they are quite prepared to tear the party apart and guarantee that a euro-sceptic Tory Party does NOT TAKE POWER -IF NEED BE.

Thus five consecutive party leaders have been told quietly but in terms they understand, that it would be suicidal to affront the Euro--fanatic minority.

[ We have on a number of occasions suggested that the Eurosceptic majority should go it alone under a new label such as

'The Real Conservative Party'

-after all if the Labour Party could change its label why not the True Conservative Party. And of course we have seen the Real IRA]

David Cameron fits perfectly into the succession. He has grouped half a dozen EU-fanatics around him, he despises euro-sceptism, wishes the whole thing would go away and will do all he can to avoid it. The point of this article is to claim that he has one huge Achilles heel and that if the patriotic majority wants to win this time (and it may be the last) they simply have to renounce more verbal protests and meet iron with steel.

Can it be done? Oh Yes. Will It? let's give it a shot.

FIRST a few harsh realities. words

Only an incumbent British Government can repeal the Act of Accession to the Treaty of Rome.

No British government under any circumstances is going to do that. That is a given pledge. Only one party, the United Kingdom Independence Party would pledge it, and UKIP is not going to be the next British Government , and we all know that.

The Better Off Out movement? Nice Idea -but NO! I support it of course, but it is not going to change David Cameron's mind.

By issuing the 'NO CAREER UNDER ME' he has curbed the converts to a maximum of fifty. And he does not need to give a damn about them. he needs to keep every one of his 197 and win another 123 back from Labour and the LibDems.

Inside the figure of 330 he can easily absorb fifty or a hundred rebels. If they had to swear to believe in the tooth fairy to win, so be it. So long as they win and put him in Downing Street. After that , the whips take over and he can go on beaming his way around Brussels. Fifty among three hundred is quite manageable.

National referendum

WHAT THEN? Three things.

FIRST: the key is not cold-turkey extraction but a second NATIONAL REFERENDUM.

David Cameron will hate it and fight it. But if he is forced to give an irreversible manifesto pledge to hold one, he would be in desperate trouble if he tried, after entering Downing Street, to renege.

Second, not a referendum on in/out but on Repatriation of Powers. WHY? Because the first, with enough bribery and mendacity could even be lost. BUT millions and millions of our fellow Brits see repatriation of the right to control our borders and courts as perfectly reasonable. This must be a referendum won by such a majority that it could not be rigged or repudiated. And the third thing. It is a phenomenon that is changing our lives.

-offensive intends to be, can vault over the heads of Constituency MPs, party leaderships and the Media, and address millions of voters in their own homes by mailbox or website.

The message will be simple. If you believe in this country, stand up and be counted. Sign a pledge, by mail or on line. Say that you will simply not vote for any party that takes a million Tory votes.

Suppose two million more are added to that -even as pledged abstainers. And suppose all three million came back to the Conservatives on the pledge.....Do the maths.

Given the choice of bowing to the EU-fanatics with a guarantee of staying in OPPOSITION, or giving the people what they want and presumably going to Downing Street, which would David Cameron choose?

The trouble with the Euro-fanatics is they are ruthless. And the trouble with me is ...so am I.

[ We find the scheme original and a possibility of working BUT there are a number of Buts to consider.

FIRST: It is more than possible that David Cameron would rather keep his job as Opposition leader than give away his friends in ALL the political parties in Westminster.

SECOND: Only if David Cameron was replaced as leader would there possibly be co-operation.

THIRD : There may never be another General Election because Gordon Brown would just sit tight until the danger is past.

FOURTH: In the end it could come down to the millions against the Treaty to take to the streets in a Civil War.

In the 1215 Magna Carta the keystone of English Liberty there is a provision for the twenty five Barons to oversee that the provisions of the Treaty are carried out and should the King renege on his promise to obey the Carta to take the necessary action as indicated in it's historic document.*

61. (Enforcement) Since, moreover, for the sake of God, and for the improvement of our kingdom, and for better quieting of the hostility sprung up lately between us and our barons, we have made all these concessions; wishing them to enjoy these in a complete and firm stability forever, we make and concede to them the security described below; that is to say, that they shall elect twenty-five barons of the kingdom, whom they will, who ought with all their power to observe, hold, and cause to be observed, the peace and liberties which we have conceded to them, and by this our present charter confirmed to them; in this manner, that if we or our justiciar, or our bailiffs, or any one of our servants shall have done wrong in any way toward any one, or shall have transgressed any of the articles of peace and security; and the wrong shall have been shown to four barons come to us of the aforesaid twenty-five barons, let these four barons come to us or our justiciar, if we are out of the kingdom, laying before us the transgression, and let them ask that we cause that transgression to be corrected without delay. And if we shall not have corrected the transgression or, if we shall be out of the Kingdom, if our justiciar shall not have corrected it within a period of forty days, counting from the time in which it has been shown to us or our justiciar, if we are out of the kingdom; the aforesaid four barons shall refer the matter to the remainder of the twenty-five barons, and let these twenty-five barons with the whole community of the country distress and injure us in every way they can; that is to say by the seizure of our castles, lands, possessions, and in such other ways as they can until it shall have been corrected according to our judgment, saving our person and that of the queen, and those of her children; and when correction has been made, let them devote themselves to us as they did before. And let whoever in the country wishes to take an oath that in all the above-mentioned measures he will obey the orders of the aforesaid twenty-five barons, and that he will injure us as far as he is able with them, and we give permission to swear publicly and freely to each one who wishes to swear, and we ever forbid to swear. All those, moreover, in the country who of themselves and their own will are unwilling to take an oath to the twenty-five barons as to distressing and injuring us along with them, we will compel to take the oath by our mandate, as before said. And if any of the twenty-five barons shall have died or departed from the land or shall in any way be prevented from taking the above-mentioned action, let the remainder of the aforesaid twenty-five barons choose another in his place, according to their judgment, who shall take an oath in the same way as the others. In all those things, moreover, which are committed to those five and twenty barons to carry out, if perhaps the twenty-five are present, and some disagreement arises among them about something, or if any of them when they are summoned are not willing or able to be present, let that be considered valid and firm which the greater part of those who are present arrange or command, just as if the whole twenty-five had agreed in this; and let the aforesaid twenty-five swear that they will observe faithfully all the things which are said above, and with all their ability cause them to be observed. And we will obtain nothing from any one, either by ourselves or by another by which any of these concessions and liberties shall be revoked or diminished; and if any such thing shall have been obtained, let it be invalid and void, and we will never use it by ourselves or by another.

(The majority rule.) There is one other provision of this CHARTER which has received very little attention, although it is the one provision in the whole document with a truly modern ring. This is the clause saying that the opinion of the majority of those present of the TWENTY -FIVE shall prevail. It is an early statement of the MAJORITY RULE. Without such a RULE modern GOVERNMENT would be IMPOSSIBLE and it is lamentable that so little is known of it's HISTORY in ENGLAND.
