As we have stated on another occasion had each soldier killed and seriously injured in Iraq cost the MoD a minimum of:

in payouts to their families or designated next-of-kin the Government would have had a House of Commons not so easily taken in by their lies and deceit which led to an ILLEGAL war with all its tragic consequences which are played out in the routine of families being told of the death of their loved ones.

 

Of course for the families of the casualties of war - their sons and daughters are to them a priceless asset and no amount of money will comfort them after the knock on their door at any time of the day or night.

 

We make the suggestion as we are all NOW aware of the haphazard way the MoD and the successive Defence Ministers have consistently undervalued the fighting soldier by their inability to supply the vital and protective equipment needed to reduce the casualties of War.

 

Why is this? Because the very equipment, which would greatly reduce our casualties, has not been provided because of the incompetence of the Ministry of Defence and the Government of the day. Whether it is lack of suitable footwear or radios or body-armour

which took our country to war.

 

Where was Her Majesty’s Opposition to the WAR?

-when they must have known more than they will tell after all they had their members in the various Committees of the House who were not blind to the Lies and Deceit all around them. No doubt in time it will be revealed that it was a matter of supporting America and that was it?

 

Though we consider out special relationship with the USA important the Integrity and Honour of our country must be paramount and we have only to look at the past to know that in both World Wars -Britain and the Commonwealth held the field against Dictators for a number of years before America entered the wars and though we acknowledge their vital assistance in achieving victory we must remember that the USA blackmailed us at Suez and we did not support the Vietnam War.

 

America and Britain should always be together on the right side but as recent events have illustrated it was the so-called

-that decided the destiny of their Nation States and NOT the sensible citizens of both countries who were lied to and are reminded by the return of their dead and wounded that the sacrifice of their sons and daughters was NOT in the interests of either country.

 

In America it has been revealed that a at least 6000 of their troops have brain injuries as a result of being within range of a bomb blast there must be similar casualties within British forces but we do not hear about them-

 

WHY NOT?

 

 

We now hear at this late stage that there is to be a meeting of experts and officials from the USA and Britain in order to find a technical answer to the growing roadside bomb, which is taking so many lives. History is littered with examples of such events and in the end there is always another more deadly device just beyond the horizon.

 

We are in Iraq illegally on the orders of the LEADERS of so-called DEMOCRATIC nations who while professing the benefits DEMOCRACY abroad are in turn destroying it in their HOMELANDS.

1,300 TROOPS MENTALLY ILL AFTER IRAQ

 

THE SHOCKING SCALE of mental illness among troops returning from Iraq was exposed yesterday.

 

Ministers admitted at least 1,333 have developed serious psychiatric problems.

 

The figure includes only those diagnosed while serving and mental health charities expect the real toll to rise dramatically in the coming years.

 

Concerns have been raised over the CARE AVAILABLE to veterans, particularly those who develop crippling psychiatric problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder after quitting the Armed Forces and have to rely on the NHS or Charities to HELP.

 

The figures show that of the 1,333 servicemen and women diagnosed with psychiatric problems by last September, 182 had post-traumatic stress disorder, 601 ‘adjustment disorder’ and 237 depression.

 

Anyone serving in the Armed Forces is meant to be treated by the Military Health Care System.

 

Those who have been discharged are the responsibility of the NHS with the Military Mental Welfare Charity Combat Stress providing some specialist support.

 

The Charity, which is dealing with 60 Iraq veterans, said it was unusual to have requests for help so soon after a conflict.

 

Some troops claim they have struggled to obtain the

 

TREATMENT THEY NEED.

 

The MoD said it had ‘comprehensive policies in place’ for treating serving personnel and ‘full confidence’ in the CARE available on the NHS for Veterans.
