ENGLAND SUPREME AT TWICKENHAM -BUT WHY ARE ENGLISH MP'S SO LIMP IN PROTECTING ENGLISH MATTERS.

 

The match between England and Wales at Twickenham with an English win was an expected hard battle of old and England deserved the Crown.

 

When one compares the efforts of both teams with their national flags and on the other her national costumes one would have been proud of both teams.

 

But we must talk not of sporting events but of the political situation IN England today where in Parliament English MPs would not be able to pass the ball - let alone defend English Matters.

 

Whether one is English, Scot or Welsh one fights to win for their country. We have the Scottish people with their own Parliament and the Welsh with their Assembly and no doubt a parliament in the future.

 

But ENGLAND and English matters are ignored in OUR ENGLISH House of Commons in order that the other nations on our shared island are cosseted with their national aspirations but low betide an Englishman who wishes to share the same fierce loyalty and concern for his country of

 

ENGLAND.

 

In Northern Ireland Irishmen who wish to retain links with England are ignored and discouraged in their patriotic endeavour and they find that the IRA which is still in being and has since its connexion with the Nazi German international which has controlled the Moslem Brotherhood

which has a spider web activity with many terrorist organisations including the IRA, which have been in existence since Great War.

 

The present inferno of outraged Muslim opinion against the gratuitously blatant disregard for those who place their lives above a secular materialism has finally broken forth because of the CONTEMPT that has grown in many countries to adherence to a Religious Code -not fanatically but because the truths of each religion is with each adherent.

 

In England particularly which with its endangered Common Law of England, which in the past considered that GOD must be the basis along with REASON within the Law.

 

Today the Secular opinion predominates in Europe with the result that they have no idea what it means to have a higher purpose in life than material gain and as a result a great divide has become a greater divide between the Western World and the East.

 

There are many people who are not religious and many no doubt feel that they do not intend to bend about the value of a religious opinion, which is sincere, and NOT a threat to non-believers. They have a perfect right to have their opinion as a great Queen of England [Not Britain]

Queen Elizabeth I. said:

 

‘I will not take a mirror TO LOOK into men’s minds’

 

BUT

 

A sense of toleration works both ways, as it is NOT in the nature of man that each can be absolutely sure that each is following the correct path. Many may find at the end of their journey that they were mistaken while others may well find their chosen destination.

 

What no one can deny is that a religious outlook, which is in line with the scriptures of

 

‘Good Will to All Men’

and NOT a fanatical approach that will not tolerate a human wish for

 

COMPROMISE

 

so that ALL Mankind can benefit from the compassion and goodness and mercy that any true CHRISTIAN -MUSLIM or other Faith which fills that individual in a partnership with an entity that is beyond our Universe but which Mankind needs to have contact in order to fulfil the hope of a greater being who can lead our civilisation into the hope of a better future for ourselves and our children’s children.

 

The lesson if one can call it so is that had not the links of our Christian heritage not been neglected by those who profess to be its protectors there would have been more sensitivity to the issue which has created the division between the Western World and the East of the blatant and gross insult to the sacred leader of a holy people.

 

As so recently revealed by a respected Columnist - the Faiths in the world particularly Christian but also others have been guilty of great slaughter and brutality -with the Spanish Inquisition which lasted into the mid 19^th century with millions of lives lost because of the fanatical hardliners who believed that only under cruelty can anyone be purged of their supposed ignorance of the right path to their supposed salvation.

 

It is in TOLERANCE of the views of others and RESPECT for the feelings of others that the bridge between the two opposing forces of Religious Faith and a growing Secular world that Freedom of Speech must be weighed in the balance of TOLERATION.

 

This must not lead to an impasse in dialogue of the issues of the day, which affect the stability, and safety of the World we ALL share. There may come a point in time when it will be vital to make a stand for the

‘Right to be Heard’

for in the final analysis the supreme objective of man is REASON to stand up for what one believes is RIGHT against which there can be no ultimate Appeal.

 

Tony Blair and George Bush have a fondness in frequently quoting the word DEMOCRACY but as NOW most people in both countries know that the democracy they have in mind is of one sort -it is CONTROL. These two leaders have been on a crusade and they have we hope now learnt that IDEAS are only as good as the promoters who proclaim them and they are now themselves having to face the real dangers which so many independent sources warned them of before their ill-fated invasion of Iraq.

 

Before we leave the subject of Religious toleration it is worth considering that had the EU had a Christian element in its structure (which it would not permit) there would have been more of a realisation of the consequences of the follow my leader attitude by the Press in compounding in such a public way the denigration of a figure held in great religious zeal.

 

There would also have been a higher ethic in combating corruption. No one can eradicate corruption completely but those who have an inbuilt religious respect for maintaining a high standard of responsible management can endeavour keep it to a minimum. This is not to say that religious zeal is always a guarantee of good behaviour or that a secular approach is less worthy of achieving a good result. But across society as a whole there is no doubt that the lack of religious fervour has encouraged the breakdown of law and order and much else particularly over the last nine years.

 

Finally- for over 2 billion people in the World there is a deep desire to put one’s life in the hands of another, which they believe is the example to follow.

 

For those who have a secular judgement what matters that each makes their way in the world as they see fit. Whichever path is taken the human being takes by their own FREE WILL with REASON-as to motive-cause or justification which leads many to take the road with a life in

 

FAITH.
