BRITAIN'S voting system is 'archaic' and divisive' and does not represent the will of millions, a pressure group has argued. The Electoral Reform Society, which has campaigned for proportional representation for 130 years, claimed last month's General election was the most disproportionate ever. It said UKIP would have WON up to 80 seats using the type of PR used in many European nations, while the GREENS would have got 20. UKIP and the GREENS received 5MILLION VOTES, but under the FIRST-PAST-THE-POST system ended up with ONE MP each. An E R S-commissioned survey said under PR the TORIES would have seen their tally of MPs fall by almost 100 while LABOUR would have gone down 24...

OUR LORD CHIEF JUSTICE PUTS THE PROBLEM OF JAIL SPACE AND THEFT OF MOBILE PHONES AS PRIORITY ISSUES INSTEAD OF LEAVING IT TO THE GOVERNMENT TO BUILD MORE PRISONS AND THE PHONE INDUSTRY TO COUNTER THE TREND WITH NEW TECHNOLOGY AND JUSTICE TAKES ITS COURSE.

EVENT AND THE PUBLIC ONLY HEAR ABOUT SPEED CAMERAS

It has now estimated that a sum of £180,000,000 a year, will have been collected in fines from the Speed Cameras mania which is spreading like a Virus, and we know what happens to Virus's- they tend in time to mutate – and will appear elsewhere in a different form. Once something spreads so swiftly one needs to take drastic evasive action as evidenced in some Continental countries that take more active measures against a persistent source of Infection. [In 2007 over 2,000,000 CCTV cameras in the UK]

There was a very virulent epidemic some years ago called the Poll Tax which required a very direct action in order to destroy the virus. Possibly we could learn something from that case study – maybe someone could come up with an idea?

The greatest danger we now face is that this same Virus will appear in a mutated state in the telephone system in Emergency Call-out Charges or Late Train Supplement and Motorway Hold-up Rest Contribution. It was suggested that a Call A Policeman Fee would become a possibility but it was found that the Virus needed something to adhere too - but regretfully this was found to be an impossible task. We understand that those who avoid their responsibility to contribute to any Service whatsoever are immune to the effects of the Virus but unfortunately they can still spread a more contagious infection to others.

Don’t get discouraged there will be many further opportunities for a wide selection of new interesting Microbes if we are fool enough to agree to join the more deadly strains of contagion the other side of the English Channel.
