Why do the Media still fail to grasp that the rejection of the EURO is Political.

 

For some time now the broadcasters on the different TV channels appear to suggest that it is only a question of economics ‘the five tests’ with regard to the revolt against the EURO and the unaccountable and despotic EU.

 

Nothing could be further from the truth it is in fact a combination of economic and for a millions of the people a political question of Freedom to be ruled by their own kind with one’s own laws and traditions and practices-to control our own currency and secure our Borders.

 

Of course co-operation with other nations is not a problem for a Nation with such a long history in its train.

 

As the EDP ‘s Constitution states: ‘ We consider that a family of Independent Nation States of the British Isles under a loose federal umbrella connected with likeminded countries around the world would do much for Peace and Stability in the World.’

 

Europe has its own history and legal system and as Winston Churchill had said on many occasions that a united Europe was essential for Peace.

 

But England and her sister Nation States of Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland have links with a great number of descendents through-out the English –speaking world and beyond.

 

Considering that broadcasters spend most of their time with commenting about one fight for Freedom in one part of the world for most of their time before the public it is incredible that they consider their own viewers are any different to those fighting for freedom in Palestine or Iraq or Bosnia, Ukraine and many other countries in the world today.

 

All we ask is that the media look closer to home to those of their viewers who are deeply concerned about the way politicians and broadcasters lightly discuss those important matters which are by many subjects of our Queen are more important than they realise.

 

A country that decides to place its main emphasis on economic matters and to neglect its inherited values will find itself despised by other countries who know the value of putting their grass-roots first before increased material gain which in the end will bring more real lasting contentment to their lives.
