RATIONALES FOR THE IRAQ INVASION

The National Security  rationale for the invasion of Iraq was primary that Iraqi regime had already been doing what, separately the Iranian Government had been debating for some time. (according to documentation of the Central bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran  that we receive) namely invoicing for exported oil in EUROS.

Therefore the United States purchases its oil for pieces of paper costing a few dollars or cents, which acquire purchasing power thanks exclusively to the prospective holder's reliance on the legend of the

Full Faith and Credit of the United States.

Any threat to the fiat system represents  a grave threat to the continued existence of the United States as a viable economy, because it it became necessary for the United States to remit for its imported energy with foreign currencies (Euros, or even sterling, or else Japanese yen), these could only be in exchange for real goods and services, rather than [as now] pieces of paper.

It would become immediately unavoidable for the United States to run large foreign trade surpluses in order to earn sufficient foreign currency holdings to be able to pay for its imported oil, and the American people would rapidly experience an historically collapse of their living standards, leaving the United States in danger of fragmentation.

The invasion of Iraq decapitated the erring Iraqi dictatorship, and served as a warning to other oil-exporting countries, such as Iran and Venezuela, or the radicalised Saudi Arabia, that might conceivably toy with the idea of invoicing in Euros.

But just as critically, the United States also needs, in the national interest, to remain confident that sizeable oil importing countries such as China and Japan, do not, on the other side of the ledger, start paying for the oil they import in their own currencies, or in some foreign currency than the dollar. That is obviously an even greater danger to the perpetuation of the oil-dollar system than the prospect of oil exporters starting to invoice in currencies than the dollar. All except enemies, have an interest in the status quo.

The Pentagon's planners, who were hard-pressed to elaborate a 'saleable' explanation to cover the invasion of Iraq refrained from implicating key foreign powers in the 9/11 attacks, notwithstanding that the text of a message from Uday Hussein to President V Putin dated June 2000, in which arrangements for the attack were outlined, had been intercepted and passed obliquely into the public domain by intelligence sources.

As subsequent events have shown, the US Government failed to provide a coherent and reliable rationale for the Iraq invasion, inducing universal sceptism concerning, official US motivations. To provide cover and to ensure that the inevitable  international odium in the necessarily brutal adventure would be shared. Washington needed a military ally to co-operate in the operation, the most obvious country being Britain. Australia, which is the location of the centralised

'Coalition of the willing'

In any future military operations the United States will NOT be able to rely upon the co-operation of the British,

UNLESS

Britain leaves the EU -as current geopolitical events make much more likely -since, as indicted the EU-orientated UK Ministry of Defence is planning to integrate into a fully equipped

'EUROPEAN ARMY'

This will in all probability be equipped largely by countries other than Britain, so that it could soon become impossible for British forces either to operate independently or to fight alongside those of the USA, as we have predicted in earlier analysis.
