PAYE Coding Notice
Tax code for the year
2011-12
This is the case of a
pensioner couple 79/83 living on the Standard State pension,
with the husband with a annuity of £991 ,with a total income
which qualifies for Pension Credit. There is no other
income.
On Monday the 12th April,
2011 two PAYE Coding Notices were received from:

ASSURANCE
As you will have noticed
there are TWO ASSURANCE companies listed whereas in reality
for some years one company has been replaced by another.
As these Codings eminated
from the same office in CARDIFF one would have thought that
someone there overseeing the operation would have noticed
the anomaly.
The couple wrote last year
to HMRC requesting another P60 because it had the wrong
ASSURANCE COMPANY listed but were told that they could not
send another P60 without the error.
IN the year 6 April 2010 to
5 April 2011 this couple received 13 assorted coding in that
year alone as we understand others were similarly treated.
The result of this bungling
by HM Revenue and Customs is that for the past three years
the couple have been incorrectly taxed while at the same
time on such a low income that they are on
PENSION CREDIT.
The bungling by HM Revenue
& Customs has been well-covered by the Daily Mail.
The Government says it
could take some time to sort out the mess possibly another
year at least. They need to get some priority in place
because while they are and their fellow parliamentarians are
increasing THEIR ALLOWANCES millions of PENSIONERS and
OTHERS with the Cost of Living rising DAILY our
REPRESENTATIVES need to extend
their sittings in PARLIAMENT in order to sort out the MESS
that NEW LABOUR left THEM!
Unfortunately, things do
not look any better this year than last year as the couple
will be expecting a further 11 Codings dropping through the
letter box within the next month or longer which we will
include in this bulletin.
