BREAKING NEWS!

H M Revenue & Customs

So for all their talk they are still going

stark raving

BONKERS!

Have you received your PAYE Coding Notice for the year 2010-11

We have in fact  received not one notice but 5 altogether on the same day 23 February 2010.  They appear as families. -This year as in the past we have received

1 from BARNSTABLE 30T

4 from CARDIFF-25T-60T-845T-30T

And should this communication be undelivered one is to return it to

HM Revenue & Customs

Cumbernauld ,GLASGOW.

It is fortunate for the taxpayer or non-taxpayer that our island Home is shared by three peoples, two of which  the Scots and Welsh are recognised as nation states the former on the road to such INDEPENDENCE  as permitted under the USOE and the later having recently being given more powers has similar aspirations  whereas the English people are ignored even though they in particular those who reside in South East England pay the increased bills to keep their  neighbours in their accustomed clover.

It appears to us that there is much room for culling jobs within the HM Customs and Revenue Service as they have time to send out a cascade of useless and misleading paperwork to give the impression that they are on top of their job.

TAX BLUNDERS COST PENSIONERS £450MILLION

[As a pensioner couple over 75 surviving only just on approximately £5,000 each for the year which is what many in the so-called PUBLIC SERVICE  who should be running an efficient  and accurate accounting  service, receive in a month . What we find quite baffling is that the Revenue's figure of our yearly income over a number of years -State pension ...and small annuity  with no other income - has remained constant - were not given just ONE correct PAYE Coding  instead of receiving  a handful. It could have been  a question of not seeing the wood for the trees.  ]

FEBRUARY 23-2010

LATEST!

You wouldn't believe it!

We have received on 9th April 2010 dated the 22rd March 2010 the following additional PAYE Coding notices for the year 2010-11

1 from BARNSTABLE 30T

4 from CARDIFF-25T-60T-845T-30T

*

2 from CARDIFF 26T -12T

1 from BARNSTABLE 5T

So up to Friday the 9th April 2010 we have received

*8  PAYE Coding notices

and if the past is anything to go by there are more unnecessary Coding notices in the pipeline. It is no wonder that this country's finances are in a mess with a flood of wasted paperwork and effort which this country cannot afford.

So to recap: We have received since February 2010 the following:

1 from BARNSTABLE 30T

4 from CARDIFF-25T-60T-845T-30T

*

2 from CARDIFF 26T -12T

1 from BARNSTABLE -5T

And these are sent to someone who has NO TAX LIABILITY to FULFIL and has had TAX DEDUCTED from a ANNUITY of just £991 per year.

It seems we are one of the lucky one's because we now we find in the Letter's column of the Daily Mail on Monday, April 10, 2010 that a 72 year -old correspondent from Leyland, Lancs has recieved

13 PAYE NOTICES OF CODING IN THE PAST THREE WEEKS( ALL WRONG)

IS THIS A RECORD?

Well! there is no doubt still time for our paltry 8 PAYE NOTICES to be joined by others.   What we ask is how can those civil servants that run the department concerned still have THEIR JOBS?

APRIL 2010

*

The problem has arisen since the last government being broke and therefore having to find revenue from anywhere  and the pensioner was the easiest target.   One appreciates that  a significant of elderly pensioners particularly those who have worked in the PUBLIC SECTOR have money to burn but there are millions of pensioners who apart from their meagre STATE PENSION and possibly a small annuity DO NOT EXPECT to be BURDENED with excessive assessments  such as shown above when their financial situation is fixed by the generosity or otherwise of the GOVERNMENT OF THE DAY.

Please by all means catch the tax dodger but remember that those pensioner at the bottom end of the scale at at their time of life have enough to contend with without being bombarded with fistfulls of different assessments.    Because of this unthought through procedure the pensioner above who received 8 assessments has only days ago received notice from his Annuity Company that they have deducted tax as instructed by the HMRC.   AS mentioned in one of the links above the chances of telephoning the HMRC to discuss the error is a long and most frustrating exercise and no doubt in many cases the pensioner decides to suffer the loss as at that late age 79 there are other matters to attend to -such as living.    It appears that one can work for over 50 years and pay one's taxes and still be bled dry because of faulty procedures or incompetant staff are not interested in THEIR JOB!

Statement AT :-  JUNE 1-2010
